AFRICAN - AMERICAN
The hyphenated phrase has become the prefered moniker of blacks in America, as ordained by the order of the politically correct.
However, this picture illustrates the ridiculousness of such a moniker:

You see, the one on the left…..the darker one…. he was born and raised in the United States of America - Cypress, CA to be exact.
The gentleman on the right is African. Born and raised in South Africa.
Yet, if the two of them lived in the same house in the U.S., which one would be called “African-American”?
Just something to think about.
