The United NATIONS of America

“I’d like to see our troops dispersed through the world only at the directive of the United Nations” - John Kerry, 1970 source

Several members of the House of Representatives have requested the United Nations to send observers to monitor the November 2 US presidential election to avoid a contentious vote like in 2000 source

There are many on the Left that would like nothing more than to see the United States - the pillar of freedom for the world - to submit its sovereignty to a foreign body…. the United Nations. After fighting valiantly for over 200 years to create the freest nation on earth, the Democrat Party of 2004 wants to eradicate that, and subordinate our nation to a corrupt foreign debating society that has proved it’s worthlessness time and again.

There ought to be outrage from every single American at those who want the U.S. to be governed by an organization that puts Libya in charge of Human Rights, its Narcotics Control Board is manned by the likes of Iran, one of the worst drug-pushing nations on earth, and Iraq (under Saddam) chairs the Disarmament Conference, all while failing to act against Iraq and its illegal weapons, simply because the U.N. was itself involved in a massive kickback scandal.

If this doesn’t worry you, simply sit back and close your eyes, and imagine what your life will be like when your business, your family, your taxes and income and your safety and national security are being determined by the United Nations. If you think the two party system in America - a system that has thrived for over 200 years - has problems….. just wait until the U.N., and countries like France, Iran and China get to decide what laws will govern you, what taxes you’ll pay and how your military friends and family will be deployed.

Let’s examine the U.N. way of life, according to its membership list. In Iran, if a woman is raped, she is considered an adulteress and faces death by stoning. But if a woman fights off a sexual predator and kills him, she can then be tried for murder and face death by hanging. (The penal code, which is based on Iranian interpretations of Islamic law.) In China, defendants can be put to death for nonviolent property crimes such as theft, embezzlement and forgery. Dictatorships are not frowned upon, as evidenced by a membership list that includes Cuba, The Central African Republic, Haiti, Cambodia, Libya, Iraq, Iran, etc, etc, etc.

Is this the face we want on American government? What would the Founding Fathers think about having ruthless murdering dictators, corrupt foreign leaders and anyone else who doesn’t have the U.S. interest as a top priority govern us? Think about it.
