So the DNC’s got their own little group trying to one-up the Swiftboat Vets… no, these aren’t actually people who served with the candidate, nor are they fellow soldiers upset at accusations the candidate leveled at them about being war criminals and brutal torturers…. no, this is a group of Austin hippies, hellbent on throwing money into their pool of Bush-hating. When Bush wins big in November, I’m going to relish in the satisfaction I gain knowing these fools will have wasted so much of their own personal money on a losing campaign.

So here’s their theory, according to their website:

If you get 10 or 20 percent of the potential voting pool deciding to turn the whole thing off, then Bush wins. Then the only voters left are those with college degrees, a real stake in the action (Wall Street, for instance), people with reinforcing identity groups (Upper Westside liberals in New York City, for instance, or affluent Republican country club golfers or the Christian Right) and ideologues. If the Republicans muddy the water enough, only the strong swimmers will go in. The electorate is reduced, and Bush wins.

Beautiful. So, we have an admission that if the idiots who get confused by actually thinking about the issues beyond the spoonfed mainstream media soundbites or the DNC talking points recited by their favorite Hollywood thespians, then Bush wins. Sounds like they really do know the Democrat party well.

It would explain the whole “butterfly ballot confusion” thing…
