Cindy Sheehan, 2004:

“I now know he’s sincere about wanting freedom for the Iraqis. I know he’s sorry and feels some pain for our loss. And I know he’s a man of faith. That was the gift the president gave us, the gift of happiness, of being together.”

Cindy Sheehan, 2005:

“We are not waging a war on terror in this country. We’re waging a war of terror. The biggest terrorist in the world is George W. Bush! We are waging a nuclear war in Iraq right now. That country is contaminated. It will be contaminated for practically eternity now. They’re a bunch of fucking hypocrites! And we need to, we just need to rise up… If George Bush believes his rhetoric and his bullshit, that this is a war for freedom and democracy, that he is spreading freedom and democracy, does he think every person he kills makes Iraq more free? The whole world is damaged. Our humanity is damaged. If he thinks that its so important for Iraq to have a U.S.-imposed sense of freedom and democracy, then he needs to sign up his two little party-animal girls. They need to go to this war.”

And yes, that is Michael Moore in the background. The tagline for the photo says:

“LOS ANGELES - JANUARY 6: Mother Cindy Sheehan who’s son Army Spc. Casey Austin Sheehan was killed recently in Iraq speaks during “Words and Music in Honor of Fahrenheit 9/11” on January 6, 2005 at the House of Blues in West Hollywood, California.”

But the Left is trying to make the case that her loss exempts her from being a leftwing radical fruitcake.

Go sell crazy somewhere else.

UPDATE: Cindy Sheehan is against troops in Afghanistan, the country that was harboring the very people responsible for 9/11. Apparently her beef isn’t really about Iraq, it’s just about Bush. So despite all the leftists supporting Sheehan’s wild accusations based on the disapproval rating of the Iraq war, we’re seeing that opposition to the reasons behind why we went into Iraq are irrelevant in her whole anti-Bush campaign. I’m thinking we’re just seeing a revival of the 1960s hippies who like to protest just for the sake of protesting.

Others:
Aaron points out that Cindy’s rhetoric sounds very similar to Al-Jazeera, Soros, an islamofascist’s fatwa and more. (Ed. Don’t forget she has David Duke’s support)
