Arianna Huffington co-founded a group called Americans for Fuel Efficient Cars (AFEC), a “nonprofit group dedicated to decreasing America’s reliance on foreign oil”. One of the ads produced under the project called “The Detroit Project” was “George” (video):

“This is George. This is the gas that George bought for his SUV. This is the oil company executive that sold the gas that George bought for his SUV. These are the countries where the executive bought the oil, that made the gas that George bought for his SUV. And these are the terrorists who get money from those countries every time George fills up his SUV.”

OIL MONEY SUPPORTS SOME TERRIBLE THINGS. WHAT KIND OF MILAGE [sic] DOES YOUR SUV GET?

And here is a picture (hat tip: Michelle) of Arianna Huffington leaving a speech at the anti-SUV Sierra Club’s National Summit (more beautiful irony in this story) proudly displaying her support for terrorists, by hopping into a waiting Chevy Suburban, king of all gas guzzlers weighing in at a whopping 16 milers per gallon of fuel efficiency.

I wonder if the SUV took her to the airport to hop on Robert Kennedy, Jr.’s private airplane.

Before you feign outrage that I’m calling them supporters of terrorism, just remember this is all in their own words, when they claim gas-guzzling transportation funds terrorists before departing in gas-guzzling transportation themselves.
