But Do They Offer a 401(k)?

The Combating Terrorism Center at West Point is publishing some of the contained in the Harmony database related to al-Qaida operations. There are some interesting things contained in these documents. For instance, one of the duties of al-Qaida’s Administrative and Financial Committee is hospitality. HOSPITALITY! This from the group that seeks to “bring all Muslims into the Jihad,” that Muslims must be agitated so they can serve as fuel for the battle” and that there will be continuing enmity until everyone believes in Allah.

The al-Qaida “employment contract” includes:

Salary, vacation, and home leave travel benefits are specified for married and unmarried personnel. Procedures for handling grievances and disputes are established in accordance with Islamic Law

I wonder when they’ll unionize. The by-laws outline:

…medical, loan, furniture , vacation, disability, and severance benefits…

What could possibly be included in the severance benefits? Returning the severed parts to next of kin?

In a letter from Osama bin Laden to Mullah Mohammed Omar, OBL points out:

…the extreme importance of the media battle and that it may consume 90% of total preparation for battles.

I think he underestimated the ease of recruiting the American MSM.

al-Qaida has even prepared a Dummy’s Guide to Jihad.

And their plan for victory:

The war will not be won by defeating the enemy on the battlefield. Using the tools of modern communication combined with the power of faith the jihad will ultimately prevail. Victory will come in a protracted war in which the enemy is defeated through exhaustion and annoyance.

Well, they have achieved victory over some.
