From Reuters:

This year’s hurricane season could match the record breaking destruction caused by storms in 2005, the United Nations warned.

Ok, so here we are in March and we’re hearing the hurricane season may be like last year. How many people are going to sit around until the storm is pounding down their front door before they think, “Oh, gee, I should probably evacuate now”? And how many state and local officials are sitting around right now blowing taxpayer money on frivolous junk when they could be securing levees, planning to recruit hundreds of bus drivers on a moment’s notice and stocking rescue shelters with provisions?

Just as the U.N. is already predicting a hurricane season similar to last year… yours truly is already predicting who will get blamed for anything and everything once again. Anyone care to wager?
