Some are asking why the case of Mohammad Taheri-azar isn’t being called terrorism. I’m wondering why it’s not, at least, being called a hate crime.
Burning a cross is a hate crime.
Shouting racial slurs is a hate crime.
Beating up a gay guy is a hate crime.
But a guy who drives his car into a crowd with the admitted intent of killing Americans to avenge Muslim deaths around the world is not a hate crime?
