When I wake up I read the Bible and the newspaper... because I want to know what both sides are up to.

PS Has anyone ever thought if illegals should take over, we would have a church run country? The libs are so hot on separation of church and state, but what about the church running our country like they do Mexico? This is reason enough to build walls.

After the fact, I heard a President showing leadership and allowing that there are two sides to the issue. After all, we are talking about human beings. I heard everything I wanted to hear except revoking the law that children born here are legal therefore so are their parents. This just makes bearing children for the wrong reasons. I have been very critical of W lately, but as far as I am concerned he came thru with the ideas, now let's see the deeds. If the dead a** Congress can stop wrangling and pass the issues recommended, maybe we will see some changes. Too many different kinds of Repubs trying to get under the same tent--we should take lessons from the Dhimmis, when they need a vote most stick together. We just splinter.

HAGEL-MARTINEZ BILL WILL TRIPLE IMMIGRATION

It doubles legal immigration from 1 mil to 2 mil people per year. Skilled worker visas cut in half from 60% to 30%. Unskilled worker visas tripled. Adds 325,000 guest workers per year.

I for one would like to hear some meat-on-the-bones solutions aimed at repatriating the illegals back into Mexico. You know, like; shutting down their access to employment and social welfare programs and declaring their offspring "illegal immigrants" also. The only amnesty I want extended to these people is a free bus ticket to the border without being in manacles. After the amnesty period (remember the free bus ticket?) I want them hunted down, chained, caged and deported. Oh, yeah, take their names so we can deny immigration should they be so ballsy as to lawfully apply within this century.

I don’t want any more appeasement. Troops on the border right now is NOT the answer. Make it so the illegals already here want to leave and allow them to cross the border (in a southerly direction) just as uninhibited as when they came north. Believe me the ones traveling north when they encounter the masses traveling south will turn around and travel south as well. After the majority have departed freely (or caged), then seal up the border with troops, tanks, attack helicopters fences, walls, or whatever else is needed (mostly high-tech stuff will actually suffice). (With no ability to make money up north there would be no incentive to cross the border, illegaly or otherwise.)

I also don’t want to hear any more about making it easier for illegals to secure guest worker permits. And I certainly don’t want to hear anything about making it easier for illegals to become citizens. PERIOD!! What is it about the word “I-L-L-E-G-A-L” that people do not understand?

I don’t want to hear anything about, “these people are just hard working people who are doing jobs that our citizens wont.” If they are so darned honest and hard working, why are our social welfare programs in shambles and our jails full of these folks? If our own citizens won’t work – take away their welfare checks. A few days after their Cadillac or Lincoln has been repossessed, they’ll start working. (I’m getting danged tired of my taxes making welfare recipient’s car payments.)

Well, you asked…
