"Juan" you apparently don't get the irony. It's not the Republicans running a campaign against a "Democrat culture of corruption". If it were, your point would have some merit. No, the irony is the self-righteous indignation of the Democrat party acting high and mighty, pointing out everyone else's sins, but ignoring their own.

Maybe irony is not the right word... how does hypocrisy sound?

Speaking of fabricated scandals, we could talk about Whitewater. Or we could talk real scandals, like Tom Delay, Duke Cunningham, Plamegate, What WMDS?, the Downing Street memos, Dick's Energy Commission, NSA wiretaps, the missing 12 billion cash in Iraq.... Yep, the list goes on and on.

"And yes, they “decided” not to indict him. That’s what happens when there are options available and someone chooses one: they “decide.” I’m sure you’ve heard that word before?"

Actually, when there is no evidence of a crime, it would be prosecutorial misconduct to indict. That's like saying the cops had a "choice" to shoot you for jaywalking. In a highly theoretical world, I guess you could say there's a choice, but in reality, it's not really a choice at all.

"And it would be incorrect to report that Rove didn’t commit a crime, because none of us actually know the truth there. We know that there isn’t an indictment. Beyond that, I don’t know the truth, and neither do you."

Oh, I forgot the presumption of innocence only applies to Democrats. Forgive me.

But thanks for bolstering my statement on the media bias. If nobody (including them) knows the truth, then they're just reporting speculation. I guess, like the presumption of innocence, objective reporting doesn't apply to Republicans either, huh?

Or maybe Rove was investigated because the leak seemed to have come from his office, and it would be reasonable to figure out if he was connected to it?
