Path to 9/11

Hat tip to Allah for pulling together the edited and unedited versions of the controversial clip side-by-side. As he says:

They chopped quite a bit, but you still get the gist.

Sad to see ABC cave to Democrats’ intimidation, but once again thanks to the Internet, the world gets to see what the Democrats don’t want seen.

Update:
Ms.Underestimated has video of tonight’s Nightline, which seems to be a gathering of apologists trying to offset any damage the miniseries may have on the Clintonistas’ reputation.

ABC’s Nightline tonight after “Path to 9/11″ was a sham and a cover-up for the Clinton administration. What a load of crap! Is this another way ABC bowed to the Clinton’s legal team? Richard Clarke, shoving everything off onto George Tenet, for all the screwups that happened. Can you say “scattered, smothered and covered” alibis? Richard Clarke had the POWER to order Tenet to strike and he did not. He apparently has/had no balls, but that is a surprise to whom?

…and speaking of Richard Clarke (who by the way made the Iraq/al-Qaida connection back in 1998), here he is debunking the Democrats’ talking points regarding the Bush administration’s committment to fighting terrorism pre-9/11:

QUESTION: What is your response to the suggestion in the [Aug. 12, 2002] Time [magazine] article that the Bush administration was unwilling to take on board the suggestions made in the Clinton administration because of animus against the — general animus against the foreign policy?

CLARKE: I think if there was a general animus that clouded their vision, they might not have kept the same guy dealing with terrorism issue. This is the one issue where the National Security Council leadership decided continuity was important and kept the same guy around, the same team in place. That doesn’t sound like animus against uh the previous team to me.

JIM ANGLE: You’re saying that the Bush administration did not stop anything that the Clinton administration was doing while it was making these decisions, and by the end of the summer had increased money for covert action five-fold. Is that correct?

CLARKE: All of that’s correct.

  1. I think in the end it proved to be a double whammy for Democrats. First, they showed that they are (as opposed to were) willing to abuse their political power base for the sole purpose to try and maintain political control. Well, it’s not working. is it? We all saw how ridiculous their petulent actions were when Democratic senators issued threats to try and yank a media/entertainment company’s FCC license away for a movie that doesn’t even go past a PG-rating. MTV should be so proud.

Secondly, thanks to the Democrats’ utter stupidity, we now have a historical record of the edited versus unedited portions of the Path to 9/11 movie for posterity sake. Electronically immortalized with Clinton’s grubby fingers all over it. And we’ll have the convenience to point to those versions whenever we want thanks to whoever leaked portions of the video to the internet. Maybe Clinton’s lawyers shouldn’t have sent that letter to Disney and try and them around.

I think they bit off more they could chew and it all, for the most part I believe, simply backfired on them big time. They will be remembered as appeasers to the Islamofascists and censors to freedom of speech and expression this coming November.

The Liberalistas are doing everything right. Don’t stop now.
