The idiots are coming out of the woodwork today. Maybe they’re inspired by the video released by al-Qaida.

Oliver Stone:

“Terrorism is a manageable action. It can be lived with.”

Tell that to the people who work in the World Trade Center. Oh wait, you can’t…

Jimmy Carter:

The former president told a crowd of about 300 on the campus of the University of Nevada, Reno today that the nation is more sharply divided that it has ever been as a result of Bush’s policies.

Well, let’s see, there are many who support the President and those who oppose him. Seems to me those who oppose his every step are the dividers. And it’s priceless that the most miserable failure of a President in history has any comment on making America an “international disgrace”.

Hillary Clinton (video):

“I am just totally focused on this November’s election, and I hope you are, too. I am fixated on taking back the House and the Senate because everything we care about is at stake.”

Like raising taxes, ending our fight against terrorists, launching a payback impeachment, etc, etc, etc.

…and the money quote from the Queen of the Obstructionist Party:

“If we take back one, hopefully both houses of Congress, we will be in a position to prevent the Republicans and the administration from furthering their agenda.”

That’s their primary goal. They have no agenda other than to oppose Republicans. Period.

Al Gore:

Cigarette smoking is a “significant contributor to global warming!”

In DNC land, every night is a full moon.

  1. Oliver North:
If you care to read the rest of the article so you can see what he was saying in the context he was saying it, her e is the link http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060929/ap_en_mo/film_oliver_stone

    Jimmy Carter:
He was talking about the extremely partisan views our president has, and his inability to compromise.

    Hillary Clinton:
You see raising taxes, I see paying off the county’s debt.
You see us not fighting terrorism at all, I see us fighting it at home, as we focus on other things at home that need to be taken care of.
You see payback impeachment, I say we already paid you back for that one by Clinton finishing his term.

Fighting republicans is the primary goal. Just like fighting democrats is the republicans primary goal. Republicans think democrats are spineless, rightly so, and democrats think republicans are evil, also rightly so.

    Al Gore:
You quote half of a sentance then make fun of it with no factual information. Have you thought about a job with CNN/MSNBC/Fox News?

  2. James, Oliver “North” or Oliver “Stone”? Freudian slip?

Let’s see, the IRS reported the largest monthly pay in ever and it was becasue taxes were lowered. And you agree with raising taxes? See why you guys aren’t in power?

  3. James,
I love the Left always asking for compromise… when in reality, when Democrats say compromise, it just means “agree with them”. He’s the President, Republicans are the majority… Democrats ought to be the ones “compromising” with the MAJORITY.

  4. Oliver Stone Says He is ‘Ashamed for My Country’

Umm….That would be 1996 when Bill Clinton was President. Isn’t that what the left has been pining for?

  5. In reference to my freudian slip, I was doing a bit of research on oliver north for a discussion on my gaming forum when I found this page. Oopsy.

I’d like to believe that, but you have produced no link to the information and I can not find anything pertaining to the number at all after about an hour of google searches.

There is no possible way lowering taxes would create more tax revenue. That is what lowering taxes is. It lowers the amount of money obtained through taxes. Show me a link and we’ll talk more.

Compromise means no one is completely happy. Like marriage. You understand what it is and so do we. It takes both sides working together to come to a compromise, and we haven’t seen that in a very long time. The reason being that when the other side says something that is actually right in the eyes of everyone, you can’t stand that smirk on his face or the condesending tone used. Think Michael Moore. I’ll Think G.W. Bush. Yeah, they have both said things agreeable to both sides, but niether side will admit it because of the way it was said.

Oh yeah, have you seen the poles lately? You won’t be the majority for much longer, so enjoy throwing that one up while you can.

See? I could have said that without being a smart ass.

Set back as in negating all the work done by our government in the past 10 years. That isn’t a good thing even if you want to spin it by telling the left that’s what they want.

  6. James, it was on an ABC radio news brief Friday morning. I searched the IRS site for 30 minutes - couildn’t find it. Take it or leave it, no skin off my nose. I suggest you revist the Reagan economics lessons of the 80’s and i=the associated increase in tax revenues associated with lowering taxes. Same phenominom is at work today with the current tax cuts. It’s uniquely simple: lower taxes = more spending money. More spending money = more jobs. More jobs = more tax payers paying taxes. It ain’t rocket science and has been proven to work twice now. But I can understand that it doesn’t make sense to a Democrat. Dem’s can only see the Treasury increasing via raising taxes. That’s why I will never vote for a Democrat - never. I work for my money and I don’t want the Democrats telling me how it should be spent via their taking too much away in taxes.

If Democrats are so fired up about personal liberites regarding the Patriot Act and the NSA programs, etc. then why are they so willing to let government determine how much of their income they should keep? If you truly feel you should be paying more in taxes, go ahead and send in extra money with your return. I’d just as soon spend my money on goods and services - you know, those activities that create jobs for others (who in turn will pay taxes).

  7. Compromise means no one is completely happy. Like marriage.

You have a warped sense of marriage. From your understanding of it, it’s safe to assume you’re single.

You understand what it is and so do we. It takes both sides working together to come to a compromise, and we haven’t seen that in a very long time.

Yeah, Democrats don’t play well when they’re not in power. Glad you recognize it. There’s a reason Republicans hold the executive and legislative branches of government, and it’s not to advance a liberal agenda.

You hold Michael Moore in as high regard as I hold the President. Say no more.

  8. There is no possible way lowering taxes would create more tax revenue.

Someone here is a functional illiterate when it comes to economics. I’m not mentioning any James…er, “names”… or anything! :D

The government is receiving record revenues right now. Because Congress and the Prez spend like drunken sailors doesn’t mean that the revenue isn’t coming in. It means that all this extra money coming in is being spent faster than Teddy K. going through a bottle of Dewars.

Here’s an analogy that you libbies can appreciate:

Let’s say your boss gives you a $10,000 Christmas bonus. You go out with your $10k and put every penny of it towards the purchase of a $50,000 Mercedes. Your extra $10k just turned into a deficit of $40k because you misspent the Christmas bonus.

If you’re a liberal, you blame the debt on your Christmas bonus.
