Racism in 2006

First, they called it racist to require all voters show identification before casting ballots.

Now they’re calling it racist for a company to require that employees honestly and truthfully complete employment applications.

A local group fighting for immigrant rights is calling for a boycott of two nationally known companies. Dunkin Donuts and Applebee’s are accused of discriminating against immigrant workers whose names don’t match their social security numbers.

Amazing. So we should demand that companies no longer ask candidates to be honest on their job applications? What could possibly go wrong there?

“It looks to me like its racism,” said Emma Lozano, Pueblo Sin Fronteras.

Everything looks like racism to these people.
