Danish Muslims lost another legal battle Thursday over the infamous Prophet Mohammed cartoons, as a court rejected a lawsuit against the newspaper that first printed them.
The Jyllands-Posten daily hailed the verdict as a victory for freedom of speech. Arab politicians and intellectuals warned it would widen the gap between Westerners and Muslims, but said mass protests were unlikely.
“The dismissal of the lawsuit against the newspaper, which was expected, confirms the ongoing intention to harm our religion and our prophet,” said Mahmoud al-Kharabsheh, an independent legislator who heads the Jordanian parliament’s legal committee.
Sorry, Mahmoud, but the only harm being done to your religion and your prophet is from the muslims who keep burning, murdering, raping and pillaging in the name of Allah.
