crushliberalism, I'm saying that if you're trying to blame Fox for relying on an aide to get the 411 on a piece of legislation, you've got bigger issues with Bush. I don't see the Fox debate as anything but a pathetic attempt to avoid the issues. Do you agree that stem cell research is amoral because some multi-cell organism on the way to the thrash can get used? If so, do you think it should be illegal?

That's all you've got, Endo? "Well, Fox is a Democratic tool and doesn't even know for what or for whom he's campaigning...but, uh, what about Bush?"

That's the best you can do? Seriously?

Hah. As if Bush reads the legislation he signs. The only thing he reads is his teleprompter, if he's having a good day. Sometimes you have to rely on your advisors to give you a good summary of the issues at hand, especially if you have a hard time reading because of your illness. And I trust Fox's advisors a heck more than Bush's. Hell, Bush even got Kissinger back into the war room so he can help the US lose another war. After the last 6 years, it's clear that a barrel of monkeys can run the country better. So give the Democrats a chance ;).

Jill, you're coming off as an emotional and irrational woman. You first say this:

"MJF was not campaigning for the initiative. He was campaigning for the Democratic candidate because she is pro-stem cell research."

...then you say this:

"He is not campaigning for the issue - he is campaigning for a pro-embryonic stem cell research candidate."

Is that you, Senator Kerry?

Also, you ignore the fact that Fox is supporting Ben Cardin in Maryland, who voted against funding embryonic stem cell research. But sure, Sweetcheeks...it's not political.

Fox is a political tool, without question and without a doubt. Anyone with half a brain can see that.

I'm sorry - I went to the link and I don't see the discrepancy. He is not campaigning for the issue - he is campaigning for a pro-embryonic stem cell research candidate. He is hoping for a 2/3 majority in Congress so Bush will not be able to veto the bill. Talent is for adult stem cell research which Michael is also for - but, Talent is not for ESC research. He said he also supports Specter, Hatch and Danforth. And where is Nancy Reagan in the midst of all of this? What Republicans supporting ESC research is he not supporting?

He was campaigning for the Democratic candidate because she is pro-stem cell research.

That's not true, Jill. Link.

He's either (a) campaigning FOR an initiative that he knows nothing about, or (b) campaigning FOR Democrats that he knows nothing about. Either way, he's being disingenuous (and so are you) in asserting that politics has nothing to do with it.

It does, if you run as a Democrat.

MJF was not campaigning for the initiative. He was campaigning for the Democratic candidate because she is pro-stem cell research. He has also campaigned for Arlen Specter in the past who is also pro-stem cell research. I think he is trying to save his life and his time is running short. He has built up a tolerance to his meds which I'm sure is one reason it is difficult to give himself the right dosage....

If you watch the whole video, I think you will think he is a good man, doing his best.
