Is John Bolton Next?

Rumors are swirling that Bolton may be out as U.N. ambassador shortly. Remember his was a recess appointment. If he doesn’t step down before January, he’ll be out shortly thereafter anyway. Stay tuned…

Combined with the Gates’ nomination - this may be signaling a new direction in foreign policy relating to Iran.

UPDATE:
Ok, I was flat out wrong on this one.

There goes two people who have done their jobs extremely well by any measure except public (meaning liberal) opinion. I’m sure they won’t be the only ones resigning, especially considering how much the Democrats are hankering for impeachment of any and all people associated with the Bush administration.  The control Democrats have of congress is actually narrow enough that I think it could be a good thing for U.S. politics, despite their lack of almost any positive agenda. Republicans certainly deserve to take a walk in the park, although probably not the wilderness. […]

  2. (video) Rumsfeld is Out, Former CIA Director Robert Gates as Replacement

    The Senate must still confirm him but I imagine that they will take no time in replacing Donald Rumsfeld. Keep in mind that Gates was the Deputy Director of the CIA during the Iran Contra affair.
