And that message is: Stop ignoring the base.

It looks like they didn’t get that message… or they just don’t care anymore. Word has it that instead of the highly popular and very qualified Michael Steele being tapped to chair the RNC, it will be Mel Martinez.

I was in the process of writing a post on what I thought about picking Martinez over Steele, but as I looked around, there are others who are voicing opposition much more clearly than I could.

This choice can be summed up in 6 words: Amnesty - Martinez Supports it, Steele Doesn’t

From the people that brought us Harriett Miers and Michael Brown comes another underwhelming choice. I guess the Republican party is just tired of existing.

Oh well, bienvenida a otro Clinton del Presidente en 2008. Gracias por nada.
