Isn’t it interesting that when one of their own is running around the country espousing religious beliefs in political rallies, the Lefties aren’t out touting the mythical separation of church and state? In fact, reading accounts of Democrat Keith Ellison in the MSM, you’d forget how they typically frown upon “politicians of faith”. Instead, since he’s a Muslim, his political/religious combination is to be celebrated…

Think MSM would be writing about Christian members of Congress “thrilling” anybody? Of course not… they’d be pontificating about how such “preachy” speeches like this should be reserved for the church and left out of the political arena:

“You can’t back down. You can’t chicken out. You can’t be afraid. You got to have faith in Allah, and you’ve got to stand up and be a real Muslim.”

To which many in the crowd shouted “Allahu akbar.”

Yes, don’t chicken out on capital punishment for homosexuals, stand up for women in burqas, don’t be afraid of decapitaing unbelievers.

After he is sworn in with his hand on the Koran, will he demand capital punishment for Barney Frank? Will he require Hillary Clinton, Sheila Jackson Lee and other female members of Congress cover their entire bodies (ok, so maybe it’s not all bad) And will he introduce legislation calling for the summary decapitation of every American who doesn’t subscribe to the religion of peace blow-’em-to-pieces?

Allahu ackbar, indeed.
