Saddam’s Crying Like a Little Girl
December 29th, 2006 4:33 pm

Saddam pretended to be a tough guy when he was defying the world before the coalition invaded. Then he crawled into a rat hole and whimpered like a kicked puppy.

Now he’s telling the world he’s proud to become a martyr… while his legal team is pleading in U.S. courts to spare his life.

Lawyers for Saddam Hussein asked a U.S. judge to block his transfer to the custody of Iraqi officials poised to carry out his execution.

Hussein’s lawyers filed documents Friday afternoon asking for a stay of execution. The 21-page request was filed in U.S. District Court in Washington before Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly.

According to sources, Saddam will be worm food in less than 4 hours. The world will be a better place for it.

UPDATE:
Saddam is dead, dead, dead.

UPDATE 2:
So how do Iraqis feel about this news? Pretty good.

A witness to the execution reported that celebrations broke out after Hussein was dead, and that there was “dancing around the body.”

…and why?

“It’s a very solemn moment for me,” Feisal Istrabadi, Iraq’s U.N. ambassador, said on CNN’s “Anderson Cooper 360.” “I can understand why some of my compatriots may be cheering. I have friends whose particular people I can think of who have lost 10, 15, 20 members of their family, more.

The execution was videotaped.

The execution was videotaped and photographed, state television reported, and those images will be distributed to the media.

So my question is this: Will CNN, the network that proudly promoted a video of terrorist snipers killing American soldiers, show images and video of the death of a murderous tyrant?

Today was a national day of mourning for a fallen former U.S. President. Tomorrow will likely be a day of mourning for many on the Left who think Iraq would be better off if Saddam were still in power.

UPDATE 3:
Right on cue, American liberals are protesting Saddam’s execution.
