					<description>Jason, I always wondered why the Republicans never understood that they could have done that as well. They could have had a balanced budget, a stop of illegal immmigration, and other things that everyone who voted for them wanted. But instead, it was status quo so the voters fired them. Unfortunately, voters have short term memory so we are going to be stuck with a lot of bad laws. 

For instance, raising the minimum wage. If anyone thinks an extra dollar or two is going to make a world of difference they don't undestand economics very well. If you are supporting a family on $5 or $7 you are still going to have a hard time doing so. This is and has always been a political ploy on the Democrats part.

And while we are waiting on Bush's Iraq plan, I am still waiting on a real plan from the Democrats (besides "He lied, they died" or "Our troops home NOW")</description>
