Drudge is reporting:

Israel has drawn up secret plans to destroy Iran’s uranium enrichment facilities with tactical nuclear weapons, the SUNDAY TIMES of London is planning to report, British media sources tell DRUDGE… MORE…

PAPER: ISRAEL PLANS NUCLEAR STRIKE ON IRAN

But this wouldn’t be the first time the London Sunday Times reported this. The story sounds very familiar to a December 11, 2005 article:

Israel readies forces for strike on nuclear Iran

ISRAEL’S armed forces have been ordered by Ariel Sharon, the prime minister, to be ready by the end of March for possible strikes on secret uranium enrichment sites in Iran, military sources have revealed.

Would certainly escalate the situation to an unprecedented level if the new article is accurate.

2. On Israeli Preparations for Iranian Nuclear Strike

   For starters, should this be this a surprise to anyone? Not to me it isn’t. Indeed, Texas Rainmaker points out that the same paper made similar statements in December 2005 that Israel was preparing for strikes against Iran’s nuclear capabilities.

3. I would not be surprised at all if Isreal uses THE bomb against Iran to deny them access to nukes.
   The first comment is also right when it mentions Hitler. The Nazis came close to exterminating the Jews 60 years ago and you can be damn sure that Isreal will do everything within its power to preserve themselves.
   Now dropping a nuke on anybody is a damn good way to get probably at least 80% of the world pissed off at you, but I think that Isreal will take that chance if they feel they must.
