The Democrat Party
February 2nd, 2007 10:50 pm

I’ve had many people throughout the life of this blog attempt to correct me in my use of the term “Democrat Party”. To be clear, I know the party’s official title is “Democratic Party” but I see nothing democratic the party. So there’s a reason I use the term.

What’s funny is that President Bush used the term “Democrat Party” in his State of the Union and it’s driving the liberals crazy. In fact, they’re even trying to make it into a mini-scandal.

President Bush says he had no intention of offending members of the other party when he said in his State of the Union address, “I congratulate the Democrat majority.” In an interview yesterday, Juan Williams of NPR asked Mr. Bush about dropping the “ic,” something the president does regularly, to the intense annoyance of many Democrats.

I’m glad to see it’s having an impact.
