Still don’t know if the attack was aimed at Cheney, specifically, but it sure looks like the Left is disappointed their allies missed.
Judging from these comments at the cesspool known as Democratic Underground, it’s clear we’re not on the same team.
23. Thank God Cheney was fine. I couldn’t deal with it if that man was made a martyr.
In fact I wish that the black hearted thug would stick around for the next 50 years so that he can see what the history books say about him, but that ain’t gonna happen.

Of course, then there are the requisite comments stating that this is a manufactured story from the Bush administration to justify attacking Iran. Man, they’ve just got it all figured out.

It’s really sad when the only praise you can bestow upon liberals is that they weren’t as mean-spirited, vile and vulgar as some other liberals. It’s like praising Britney for not being quite as slutty as Paris…

John found a liberal blogger who was happy Cheney was unhurt… only because if he had been, it would’ve hurt the Left politically!

I don’t know if anybody will see this or read this but I do not care. As far as I am concerned all you people should be ashamed of yourselves. Cheney no matter what your opinion of him which even I disagree with some of the thingss he says and does is still an american and a human being. What if somebody was saying all these awfull things about a member of your family. And you call yourselves liberal and progessive. Their is nothing progessive about your way of thinking it is just hatefull and rascist and all beause you disagree with his views. I hope you think twice before saying something that wicked again and remember what it would feel like if it was your family memeber they were saying these awfull things about. For shame on all of you you are supposed to be adults so try to act like one.

Bomb Throwing
A CAR BOMB goes off outside the gate of Bagram airbase, killing at least four (including an American soldier) and injuring dozens. Vice President Cheney is on the base at the time, a good, long distance away from the explosion….
