If I'm not mistaken two of our biggest USAEUR (US Army Europe) facilities (Landstuhl and Weisbaden) have been closed or reduced to the point of being clincs, too. Oh, those 'hospitals' were transformed into 'clinics' during the Clinton years, but I'm sure that is immaterial.
