Democrats realize that bringing those gun-toting, baby-killing mercenaries back to U.S. soil will enable them better protection and perhaps allow them to get out from under the war-mongering stranglehold of the Bush administration.

Key House Democrats plan to insist the Pentagon shut down the detention camp at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and are contemplating the relocation of many of the 385 or so remaining terrorist suspects to military brigs along the East Coast — including Quantico, Va., and Charleston, S.C.

Well, at least it makes their call for bringing the troops home look more warranted.

Why contribute to global warming by flying military equipment and troops halfway around the world, when we can just bring the troops AND the terrorists to our own little neck of the woods?
