When I wake up I read the Bible and the newspaper... because I want to know what both sides are up to.

I am not surprised by this at all. Ever since the days of William Randolph Hearst both the San Francisco Chronicle and the Examiner have been laughingstocks. In college, we used to call the Chronicle the "Comical". It was never read for any real news, just the sports coverage and the movie listings. For the News Director to claim that he is just the "website editor" is not very shocking at all. As a matter of fact, that might just be his real job. Unfortunately, there are no daily newspapers in the Bay Area that report negatively on any law maker or public official, unless, of course, they happen to be conservative.

Oh well, I guess they like it when we get a giggle out of them.
