The NAACP said it is cutting about 40 percent of its national staff and closing, at least temporarily, its seven regional offices to cover three years of budget shortfalls.

Thankfully, Paris Hilton’s release today ought to be good for a few fundraisers….

The Rev. Al Sharpton denounced Paris Hilton’s release from jail on Thursday, saying it had “all of the appearances of economic and racial favoritism.”

Maybe he’s right… afterall, this is the same place that another rich, white woman got off easy…
