Actually, jerkagain, the speech that TR references is definitely and without question representative of today’s left. The kooks make up the bulk of the left.

Here we go from you again, Jonathan, once more spewing rhetoric without means of proving it.

Jason, this is one of your most pathetic arguments to date. Comments like these are found on sites representing all areas of the political spectrum. Hell, they're found on any website that is well trafficked and allows anyone to comment. Tech sites, sports sites, etc. Bill O'Reilly's site and LGF are two examples that immediately come to mind from the conservative political side. Ann Coulter's books and public statements are filled with similar words all the time. Would you find it fair for me to claim that since similar statements can be found in the comments of conservtiave blogs/forums and in the written works and public statements of prominent conservatives, that all conservatives make such statements? Give me a break.

As Daniel pointed out, you quoting some of the worse offenders by no means proves that the "left" you so fear and loathe is generally made up of people like this.

How one can have a JD and make arguments as terrible as this one without guilt astounds me.

Ok. I rmember there being more to the Pat Robertson Story - but find no record of it. So I concede my mistake (although such mistakes have been rare on my part - and always conceded - which is much more than you have ever done, my PERFECT friend).

That said - I certainly do not condone this sort of speech (where did I do this exactly) - and the fact that such things are posted on these sites you mention in no way indicates that the administrators of these sites condone this speech either. There are many ways to run a comments section - and just because you edit yours does not imply that others should be held to the same standard.

You have become more hysterical than ever of late (which is why I haven't been posting much - far too easy targets). What gives? Perhaps a looming democratic presidency?

"Reminds me of Pat Robertson’s call for prayers for the death of liberal supreme court justices"

The article you linked says Robertson was praying for "God to put it in the minds of these three judges that the time has come to retire." Yet you equate that with "prayers for the death of liberal supreme court justices"? Priceless.

Perhaps you were confusing it with the liberal (and not so anonymous) commentator, Julianne Malveaux, who said of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas: "I hope his wife feeds him lots of eggs and butter and he dies early, like many black men do, of heart disease."

Ring a bell, Danny?

"So - Tex - it looks - you have a long way to go before proving the venom on the left is anywhere near the venom on the right."

As usual, you're wrong. Not only have you made yourself look like an idiot (again), but you did so while trying to defend the hateful venom spewed by your idiotic cohorts on the Left. Thanks for proving me right... again.

Reminds me of Pat Robertson's call for prayers for the death of liberal supreme court justices -- http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2003/07/15/politics/main563247.shtml

Only in that case, it wasn't random and anonymous posters to various websites - but the leader himself.

Wishing this sort of pain and suffering on anyone is NOT what I would expect from anyone in a position of power in any country.
