While continuing to bash the war in Iraq, Barack Obama is now giving a preview into what an Obama administration would look like in terms of foreign policy. And it’s not pretty.
First, he’d meet unconditionally with Cuba, North Korea and Iran. Then the anti-war candidate would invade Pakistan.
Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama said Wednesday that he would possibly send troops into Pakistan to hunt down terrorists, an attempt to show strength when his chief rival has described his foreign policy skills as naive.
The Illinois senator warned Pakistani President Gen. Pervez Musharraf that he must do more to shut down terrorist operations in his country and evict foreign fighters under an Obama presidency, or Pakistan will risk a U.S. troop invasion and losing hundreds of millions of dollars in U.S. military aid.
And he calls the Iraq war a dumb war.
UPDATE:
Pakistan responds.
Pakistan accused Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama of “sheer ignorance” for threatening to launch US military strikes against Al-Qaeda on Pakistani soil.
[…]
“Such statements are being made out of sheer ignorance,” Pakistan’s Minister of State for Information, Tariq Azeem, told AFP. “They are not fully apprised about the ground realities and not aware of the efforts by Pakistan.”
Was this part of Democrats’ attempt at “building coalitions” or “improving the global image of America? I can’t figure out which.

I’ve had a MAJOR problem with B. HUSSEIN Obama since he started hiding his Muslim faith. He is an abomination. A fraud. He is DANGEROUS for America. Dangerous for the world.

Magic Negro May Send Troops into Pakistan
One has to figure in order to burnish their foreign policy credentials, by the time the primaries actually roll around, the Democrats will probably be threatening to nuke every country on the planet.

This is a fantastic way to show you are not naive. Publicly announce an intention to invade an ally with nuclear weapons. That is not naive. You would have to smarten up a lot to make it to naive.

I’m reminded of Bill Mahr’s joke about foreign policy. I believe he was referring to Al Gore at the time.
“Here’s what we do. Blow up Chicago, then look at them and say ‘HEY! THAT’S WHAT DO TO A PLACE WE *LIKE*!’”

Ok Tex - if you believe in policing comments sections (which you must, since you think blog administrators are somehow accountable for what random people post on their sites — and which you in fact already do on your own site) - then why not remove the first post from this thread. It is based in a simple falsehood - Obama was never a Muslim. And the post is clearly motivated by bigotry and hyteria in how it emphasises Obama’s middle name - and arbitrarily explains how dangerous Obama would be for America and the World. Something doesn’t have to explicitely employ harsh language to reak of hate - as this post does. So - ok Tex - put up or shut up.

If you believed Bush in ‘03, he was invading a country that had many advanced chemical weapons, and perhaps nuclear weapons. If that made sense, invading Pakistan is almost reasonable, since it only has a few bombs, and no way to deliver them to the US. On the battlefield, mustard gas or Vx gas is much more useable than nukes.

[…] Back in the Lower 48, Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) tried to show strength by saying he’d send troops into Pakistan to hunt down terrorists. Sister Toldjah wonders how a position even more aggressive than President Bush’s will square with Obama’s anti-war base, while Blue Crab Boulevard pairs Obama’s comment with previous remarks that genocide was no reason to stay in Iraq—and that he’d personally meet with heads of rogue states. Or as Texas Rainmaker captions it, "I’m not naive on foreign policy … watch me invade a nuclear-armed Muslim country!" […]
