I have to respectfully disagree OS. What this man represents is dispicable and the world will deal with him in time I am sure and I do admit that at first I was not a fan of this guy speaking at this university.
However, listening to the president of the university rip him a new one in his introduction was worth it. The pres did not kiss his ass at all, but called him out on the carpet for the crap he tries to pull.
What better way to hang a dictator by giving him enough rope so that he can do it himself? In the end, this might been seen as the beggining of the end of his reign.

The absolutely worst reason I read defending Columbia's invitation for Ahmadinejad to speak is: "freedom of speech." That "freedom" is assured for US citizens by our Bill of Rights. When Ahmadinejad ascribes to and abides by our constitution then perhaps we should permit him to speak; but not before!
