Y'know, me and the wife just bought a house. We looked at what we could afford, projected possible payraises and such. Found our upward limit, looked for a good deal that was JUST BELOW that, and we're quite comfortable even after having to add a fence and a few other needed improvements. We bought the house prior to that in the same manner and now, a couple of years later, we've improved our lot in life with a bigger house. Now I'm going to have my money used to bail out morons who didn't use the common sense God gave 'em ? Do I get to keep their house since my sorry ass is paying for it ?

[...] The press, however, will continue to do its duty. Allah passed along this link to a story in which the AFP compares the subprime walkabouts to Katrina victims. What a crock. The streets are empty. Trash rustles down the road past rusted barbecues, abandoned furniture, sagging homes and gardens turned to weed. [...]

Here's what I cannot understand. If someone goes to a car dealer and the dealer says. "Don't buy this cheap small car, you can afford a nice luxury sedan", most people won't believe the dealer. Why, then do they fall for the same thing when it comes to homes?
