Looks like President Bush struck a nerve…
Democrats erupted in outrage on Thursday after President George W. Bush suggested a pledge by the party’s presidential front-runner Barack Obama to meet Iran’s leader was akin to appeasement of Nazi Germany.
This is priceless coming from the same party that has spent 8 years comparing President Bush to Adolf Hitler.
So what did President Bush say to get the appeasers all upset?
“Some seem to believe we should negotiate with terrorists and radicals, as if some ingenious argument will persuade them they have been wrong all along,” Bush said.
And the appeasers’ candidate responded by claiming it was a lie…
“It is sad that President Bush would use a speech to the Knesset on the 60th anniversary of Israel’s independence to launch a false political attack,” [Barack] Obama said.
“George Bush knows that I have never supported engagement with terrorists, and the president’s extraordinary politicization of foreign policy and the politics of fear do nothing to secure the American people or our stalwart ally Israel,” he said.
Gee, Barry, I wonder where President Bush would come up with such an idea…
Maybe from the foreign policy page of BarackObama.com?
Diplomacy: Obama is the only major candidate who supports tough, direct presidential diplomacy with Iran without preconditions.
Or maybe from the mouth of… Barack Obama:
Mr. Obama said that Iran had been “acting irresponsibly” by supporting Shiite militant groups in Iraq. He also emphasized that Iran’s suspected nuclear weapons program and its support for “terrorist activities” were serious concerns.
…
Making clear that he planned to talk to Iran without preconditions, Mr. Obama emphasized further that “changes in behavior” by Iran could possibly be rewarded with membership in the World Trade Organization, other economic benefits and security guarantees.
If it walks like an appeaser and quacks like an appeaser….

Politicians deeply believe that the American people all suffer from CRS (Can’t Remember Sh*!). The irony is that many do!
More success can be had attempting to bail a sinking boat with a seive than trying to appease radical Islam.

I am from India and the problem with the policy of the democrats is the same problem that India has..
They want to be everything to everyone and doing so they are nothing to anybody.
I am Indian in America and I strongly support the war on terror.
My home town Hyderabad,India ( 50% muslim) has seen much Islamic fundamental terrorism in the last few years. Sadly the spineless government has done nothing much and it continues to unsettle people and spread fear.
If you support the war, please consider supporting us.

Since when has politics not played a part in foreign policy, Barack?
I’m seriously bent out of shape that the Clinton woman doesn’t look like she’s gonna make the cut for the Dimocrat nomination.
Since there is no conservative candidate running in November, I was urging all my Republican friends to vote Dimocrat thus ensuring 4 years of chaos which would have resulted in the liberals being consigned to the trash can of history for a decade or two after 2012.
Now I’m stuck between a rock and a hard place - Obama is far too dangerous to be let loose on the United States or the rest of the world for that matter.
I guess the only upside is that McCain has a slightly better chance at beating Obama than he does Clinton, in which case we can have four years of liberal conservatism going nowhere fast.
Better than nothing I guess.

For me the fact that Obama reacted this strongly indicates that he was feeling “guilty.” To take Bush’s comments (which he says were directed at Carter) and take offense can only happen if you are not 100% at peace with the decision you have made.
I get excited every time Barack Hussein Obama opens his mouth. I just wonder how many more feet he can stuff in it?

When I was growing up, I always heard that “the guilty dog always barks.” Why is Obama protesting Bush’s remarks when the president did not mention him and Bush was most likely referring to Jimmy Carter. Seems strange to me. If Obama had kept his mouth shut, most people would not have even known what Bush said in Israel, but I defend his right to say it. After the democrats have gone all over the world bad mouthing our president, now they decide that a general remark using no names is not allowed in Israel.
UNBELIEVABLE !!!!

Obama is quacking like an appeaser for sure! I can’t believe our country is so dull that we might actually elect someone this liberal as our president! He has so little experience and makes Hillary actually look moderate! We need to pray for our country that voters wake up! God bless! Padre Steve, SDB
