Congratulations, President Obama
November 4th, 2008 10:36 pm

Disappointed as I may be, I recognize the historical significance of this moment. Though I oppose him on almost every political, philosophical and ideological level, it is with humility and humbleness that I offer congratulations to my new President-elect, Barack Hussein Obama.

And Senator John McCain was gracious, as usual, in his concession.

Behind Enemy Lines, Part 2
November 4th, 2008 3:00 am

Welcome to Election Day, 2008. Just like in 2004 (when I was deployed to Philadelphia), I am volunteering as part of the Election Day Attorney Deployment Team. I will be spending election day in Lake County, Indiana, a hotbed of ACORN activity.

Pray for those of us serving “behind enemy lines” today to insure a fair election. We know what we’re dealing with, we understand our opposition and we don’t underestimate what they’re capable of. After serving today, I will be spending the night in Chicago, which I imagine will be an interesting place to be tonight, no matter the outcome.

And if you haven’t already done so… GET OUT AND VOTE!

UPDATE: To give you a taste of the environment I was working in today, here are the final vote tallies in just 4 of the 12 precincts:

Obama - 796
McCain - 8

In 2 other precincts the number of registered voters was 1,256 and the total number listed as Republican… 6.

Turnout appears to have been huge. Assuming Obama wins, it will all come down to the turnout. In East Chicago, IN, turnout wasn’t as high, ranging from 37% to 50%. But in Gary, IN and Hammond, IN, turnout ranged from 61% to 79%.

The amazing thing I noticed was that despite the high turnout, there weren’t really many long lines. Many people showed up before polls opened, so we didn’t see a lot of lines at the end of the day.

At the time of this writing, Obama seems to have locked it all up. The good news is that with Democrats in complete control of Washington, it will become evident, even to the idiots that voted for the socialist with no experience, just who’s responsible for screwing up this country. Let’s just hope we all survive the lesson.

UPDATE 2: Looks like I missed out on the fun not returning to Philadelphia this year. Typical radicals that support Dear Leader. I wonder if he’ll offer them positions in his cabinet… maybe a co-chair with Billy Ayers or brother Jeremiah.

Actually, I think President Hussein has already outlined a position for these illiterate, unemployed, racist jackasses in the new Amerika.

UPDATE 3: Barack Hussein Obama has been officially elected. Finally, racism is dead. Someone please let Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton know they’re no longer needed or relevant.

Obama Makes Case Against… Obama
November 3rd, 2008 10:43 pm

Do you know where he stands on key issues?

Yeah, apparently neither does he.

The Obama campaign and their friends in the mainstream media want you to believe it’s all over. Don’t believe it. It’s part of their psychological operations designed to depress McCain/Palin voters so they’ll stay home on Election Day.

In a country that fundamentally rejects their socialist policies, it’s their only hope to win. Show up and vote… and enjoy all the “shocked” and “surprised” stories in the MSM on November 5th.

Add this to higher taxes across the board for the middle class (to fund welfare checks to non-taxpayers) and you get an idea of how this guy plans to govern…

Transcript:

What I’ve said is that we would put a cap and trade system in place that is as aggressive, if not more aggressive, than anybody else’s out there. I was the first to call for a 100 percent auction on the cap and trade system, which means that every unit of carbon or greenhouse gases emitted would be charged to the polluter. That will create a market in which whatever technologies are out there that are being presented, whatever power plants that are being built, that they would have to meet the rigors of that market and the ratcheted down caps that are being placed, imposed every year.

So if somebody wants to build a coal-powered plant, they can; it’s just that it will bankrupt them because they’re going to be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas that’s being emitted.”

To hear Barack Obama talk about helping those in need, you’d think he’s the most charitable guy on the planet. He just wants to help those who can’t help themselves, afterall… right? He advocates “spreading the wealth” and says it’s good for everyone. His running mate, Joe Biden tell us that paying higher taxes (so the government can decide who deserves your hard-earned money more than you) is “a patriotic act“.

Man, what a couple of selfless givers….

Or not.

Apparently while Barack Obama is saying things like:

“I think most people understand that if you’re not caring for your family, then you’re probably not the kind of person who’s going to be caring for other people.”

…his brother is living in a Kenyan shanty on less than $1 per month and his aunt is living in the projects in South Boston.

While Barack Obama is telling us that those who oppose higher taxes are “selfish“:

“John McCain and Sarah Palin they call this socialistic,” Obama continued. “You know I don’t know when, when they decided they wanted to make a virtue out of selfishness.”

…he’s “selflessly” giving less than 1% of his own income to those in need (not including the last couple of years where his percentage of giving has increased to coincide with his political campaigns) and his running mate is giving less than half one percent of his income to those in need.

To compare Obama’s and Biden’s “selflessness”, it’s worth noting that 89% of Americans contribute to charity at an average rate of 3.1% of income. (Further studies also show that conservatives already give to charity at a rate of 3.5 times more than liberals)

The fundamental difference is clear.

Conservatives want the freedom to be voluntarily charitable with their own hard-earned money.

Liberals want the power to be forcefully charitable with others’ hard-earned money.
