Democrats have been accused of a lot of things, being highly intelligent usually isn’t one of them. And here’s yet another example to prove it. It was bad enough that Democrat Congresswoman Eleanor Norton Holmes, who serves in Nancy Pelosi’s “Most Ethical Congress Ever“, made a phone call to a lobbyist soliciting a political contribution that appears to be in violation of several laws as well as several House Ethics Rules… but since the lobbyist didn’t answer, she left it all on a voicemail. Nothing like leaving a trail of evidence behind, genius.

Transcript:

This is, uh, Eleanor Norton, Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton. Uh, I noticed that you have given to uh, other colleagues on the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee. I am a, um, Senior Member, a twenty year veteran and am Chair of the Sub-committee on Economic Development, Public Buildings and Emergency Management. I’m handling the largest economic development project in the United States now, the Homeland Security Compound of three buildings being built on the uh, old St. Elizabeth’s hospital site in the District of Columbia along with uh, fifteen other, uh, sites here for, that are part of the stimulus .

I was, frankly, uh, uh, surprised to see that we don’t have a record, so far as I can tell, of your having given to me despite my uh, long and deep uh, work. In fact, it’s been my major work, uh, on the committee and sub-committee it’s been essentially in your sector.

I am, I’m simply candidly calling to ask for a contribution. As the senior member of the um, committee and a sub-committee chair, we have (chuckles) obligations to raise, uh funds. And, I think it must have been me who hasn’t, frankly, uh, done my homework to ask for a contribution earlier. So I’m trying to make up for it by asking for one now, when we particularly, uh, need, uh contributions, particularly those of us who have the seniority and chairmanships and are in a position to raise the funds.

I’m asking you to give to Citizens for Eleanor Holmes Norton, PO Box 70626, DC, 20024. I’ll send you a follow-up note with appreciation for having heard me out. Thanks again.

Most. Ethical. Ever.

Over the course of 8 years, Democrats managed to blame Bush for everything… natural disasters, school shootings, car wrecks, wildfires, and now even oil spills that occur two years after he’s left office.

This mantra continues into the worst recession America has seen in 60 years. While ignoring the fact that their policies of increased debt, tax hikes, government takeovers, bailouts and entitlements do nothing to stimulate growth, they continue to simply “blame Bush”.

So in that context, let’s just see what Bush and Republicans are to blame for…

January 03, 1995, when Republicans took control of Congress, the Dow opened at 3,834.33. Twelve years later, on January 03, 2007, Democrats took over with the Dow at 12,459.54 - up 225%. And after just two years of Democrat control in Congress, the Dow had managed to shed 36%, down to 7,949.09. Yet, somehow this is Bush’s fault.

When Democrats took control in 2007, unemployment was at 4.4%… since then it’s more than doubled to over 10%. Yet, somehow this is Bush’s fault.

The National Debt was $4.8 trillion when Democrats seized control of Congress, and in just two short years, and with the help of gaining a Democrat colleague in the White House to provide a rubber stamp, they proceeded to skyrocket the debt to well over $12 trillion. Yet, somehow this is Bush’s fault.

Many DNC talking points not only blame Bush policies, but incorrectly claim that the financial meltdown was a result of those so-called “failed Bush policies”. In fact, George W. Bush publicly called for reform of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac 17 times in 2008 alone. And who stood in the way? Democrats controlling Congress, of course.

And who were the top recipients of campaign contributions from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac?

#1 - DEMOCRAT Chris Dodd
#2 - DEMOCRAT Barack Obama
#3 - DEMOCRAT John Kerry

Keep that in mind when you watch this video again…

Yet, somehow this is all Bush’s fault.

Democrats on the campaign trail keep asking Americans… “Do you want to return to the policies of George W. Bush and Republicans?”

I’d venture to say the answer is a resounding, “YES!” Bring back a DOW over 12,000, unemployment under 6%, and the greatest economic expansion in decades.

Si se puede!

According to Charlie Rangel, it’s Republicans’ fault you know about his ethics violations. Despite being the one who committed the acts and abused the elected office, he wants to shift the blame to his political opponents… and accuse them of playing politics in this matter.

Rep. Charles Rangel told Harlem leaders Saturday he signed a plea deal on ethics charges but that the GOP pushed for a trial.

“He said he had signed an agreement. He was ready to go but I guess politics came into play,” said Assemblyman Keith Wright (D-Manhattan), one of about 50 leaders gathered for a Harlem district meeting Saturday.

Another attendee said Rangel implied, “It was Republicans that didn’t want an agreement” and that he signed a deal before the ethics committee released its report last month.

You know, Charlie, the easiest way to avoid this public embarrassment and the “political maneuvering of Republicans” is to… STOP ABUSING YOUR ELECTED POSITION FOR IMPROPER PERSONAL GAIN.

I hope the trial is messy, painful and strips you of any future taxpayer money forever. Enjoy retirement, Jackass.

If there was any doubt left about the credibility of Mainstream Media, let this be a final nail in the coffin. Rest in peace, journalistic integrity.

See how the Jeremiah Wright story was spiked by mainstream media during the 2008 election cycle.

I’d actually be more shocked by a story highlighting an Obama appointee being race-neutral in the application of their duties.

Just another day at the taxpayer-funded office for the racists.

Transcript:

“The first time I was faced with having to help a white farmer save his farm, he took a long time talking but he was trying to show me he was superior to me. I know what he was doing, but he had come to me for help. What he didn’t know while he was taking all that time trying to show me he was superior to me was, I was trying to decide just how much help I was going to give him.

I was struggling with the fact that so many black people had lost their farmland, and here I was faced with having to help a white person save their land. So I didn’t give him the full force of what I could do. I did enough,” Sherrod said. “So that when he, I assumed the Department of Agriculture had sent him to me, either that or the Georgia Department of Agriculture, and he needed to go back and report that I did try to help him.

So I took him to a white lawyer that had attended some of training that we had provided because Chapter 12 bankruptcy had just been enacted for the family farm. So I figured if I take him to one of them, that his own kind would take care of him.”

His “own kind”? Imagine if a white person used those words… especially in a politically-appointed, taxpayer-funded position.

Apparently she joked earlier in the speech about the inherent job security she has as a government employee. With enough exposure on this story, let’s see how strong that security really is.

Just more hope and change, baby.

UPDATE Apparently justice trumps job security, Shirley. Don’t let the door hit ya where the good Lord split ya.

UPDATE 2: Right on cue, liberals call the racist a “victim“. And for good measure, they follow steps 2 and 3 of their propaganda rules of engagement, including blaming FoxNews (who didn’t even mention this story until AFTER Sherrod stepped down and then claimed the racist comments were taken “out of context”. Who are you gonna believe? A racist organization built on discriminating against non-colored people and professional race-baiter Jesse Jackson…. or your lying eyes?

Hypocrite in Chief

Remember when Barack Obama criticized corporate executives for traveling to Vegas “on the taxpayers dime”?

The president’s comments come nearly a year after he criticized companies that received federal money for taking corporate junkets to Las Vegas. “You can’t go take that trip to Las Vegas or go down to the Super Bowl on taxpayers’ dime,” he said at the time.

Yeah, nevermind….

Obama will arrive in Las Vegas on Thursday evening and attend two fundraisers for Reid, who is locked in a tight political race with Republican Sharron Angle, a candidate backed by the Tea Party movement.

Time to double down on hypocrisy.

And now, another lesson from a leader in the economy-killing Democrat party:

But come to think of it, maybe she’s not completely wrong… afterall, I would agree that jobs would likely get created much faster if SHE were collecting an unemployment check.

Milwaukee Board of Supervisors were wasting taxpayer dollars today debating on whether to boycott Phoenix, Arizona because of the state’s new immigration law. And in the midst of the debate, Democrat County Supervisor (an elected position, mind you) Peggy West, made a complete jackass out of herself by stating that Arizona was “a state that is a ways removed from the border”.

Transcript:

“If this was Texas, which is a state that is directly on the border with Mexico, and they were calling for a measure like this saying that they had a major issue with undocumented people flooding their borders, I would have to look twice at this. But this is a state that is a ways removed from the border, and um… it doesn’t make sense to me…”

It’s bad enough the average Democrat voter doesn’t have the intellect God gave a tomato… but this is someone who actually ran a campaign and got elected… without so much as a basic first-grade understanding of U.S. geography.

God help us.

It appears the rest of the world is finally seeing the real Barack Obama.

He urges that things “must be done” and “should be done” and that “it is time” to do them. As the former president of the Council on Foreign Relations, Les Gelb, put it, there is “the impression that Obama might confuse speeches with policy.” Another journalist put it differently when he described Obama as an “NPR [National Public Radio] president who gives wonderful speeches.” In other words, he talks the talk but doesn’t know how to walk the walk.

I can understand how some were duped… afterall, there are still people who think Elvis is alive.

The end result is that a critical mass of influential people in world affairs who once held high hopes for the president have begun to wonder whether they misjudged the man. They are no longer dazzled by his rock star personality and there is a sense that there is something amateurish and even incompetent about how Obama is managing U.S. power.

I guess this means they’re all just racists.
