As if it weren’t bad enough that he wrote a book in support of Palestinian terrorists…
…it’s now being revealed that he interceded on behalf of a nazi SS guard who had been deported out of the U.S.
What’s next, Jimmy? A bake sale for the Klan?

Drudge is reporting:
Israel has drawn up secret plans to destroy Iran’s uranium enrichment facilities with tactical nuclear weapons, the SUNDAY TIMES of London is planning to report, British media sources tell DRUDGE… MORE…
PAPER: ISRAEL PLANS NUCLEAR STRIKE ON IRAN
But this wouldn’t be the first time the London Sunday Times reported this. The story sounds very familiar to a December 11, 2005 article:
Israel readies forces for strike on nuclear Iran
ISRAEL’S armed forces have been ordered by Ariel Sharon, the prime minister, to be ready by the end of March for possible strikes on secret uranium enrichment sites in Iran, military sources have revealed.
Would certainly escalate the situation to an unprecedented level if the new article is accurate.
UPDATE:
Here’s the article.

Two days ago, Jimmy Carter was defending his pro-terrorist, fabricated work of plagiarism by claiming it was just intended to spark debate:
He said he chose the title to shine light on the festering conflict and give Americans a different point of view than what they’re used to.
“I wanted to provoke debate,” Carter said. “I wanted to provoke discussion.”
And Alan Dershowitz and Brandeis University stepped up to the challenge and offered Carter a forum to debate. So what was Carter’s response?
Carter, author of a new book advocating “peace not apartheid” in the region, said he will not visit Brandeis University to discuss the book because the university requested he debate Dershowitz.
So Carter wrote the book to spark debate, then refused to visit Brandeis because they requested a debate. I guess we really shouldn’t expect more from the peanut farmer.
The school’s debate request, Carter said, is proof that many in the United States are unwilling to hear an alternative view on the nation’s most taboo foreign policy issue, Israel’s occupation of Palestinian territory.
No, the school’s debate request is proof they wanted to hear a debate, moron. But instead, Carter expects his drive-by punditry to serve as the definitive view on the topic without discussion or debate… typical liberal strategy.
So why is Carter afraid to debate and defend the positions in his book?

From AP:
Dems’ Wins in U.S. Races Concern Israel
Israelis are worried the Democratic power swing in Washington curbing President Bush’s power will lead to less decisive action on Iran’s nuclear ambitions, which they consider an imminent threat.
…
Blondheim said the Democrats may open the door wider for European nations, which many Israelis see as pro-Arab, to engage in Middle East diplomacy.“Some Israelis are worried about the notion that the Democrats tend to be oriented toward multilateral diplomacy. For many Israelis, having European powers and other countries join the Middle Eastern conflict is bad news,” he said.
Jacob Kay, a Web designer in Jerusalem, said he expected a Democratic majority to be less attuned to Israeli interests.
And from an American Jewish Committee survey:
20. In politics, as of today, do you consider yourself a Republican, a Democrat, or an Independent?
Republican - 15%
Democrat - 54%
Independent - 29%
Not sure - 3%35. How close do you feel to Israel?
Very close - 37%
Fairly close - 39%
Fairly distant - 16%
Very distant - 6%
Not sure - 2%36. Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? “Caring about Israel is a very important part of my being a Jew.”
So according to the survey, 76% of Jews in the U.S. feel fairly or very close to Israel and 74% consider caring about Israel and imporant part of being a Jew. Yet a majority of Jews in the U.S. still side with the Democrat party, whose control of the House is viewed by Israelis with concern.
Seems like a big disconnect from here to there.
