Olbermann went on another self-righteous diatribe Saturday regarding the shooting spree at Rep. Giffords’ meeting that morning. He ranted incessantly about all the conservatives that must be to blame - from Palin to Beck to O’reilly to Sharron Angle and the Tea Party - for the massacre.

Yes, it’s all conservatives’ fault.

Nevermind that while you’re calling for an end to “gun metaphors”, your own community organizer in chief, Barack Obama, is out rallying supporters by telling them how to “counter Republican attacks” like this:

“If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun.”

Nevermind that while you’re casting all blame on Conservatives creating a “climate of hate”, you’re completely ignoring the fact that the climate of hate is almost exclusively a progressive movement.

Nevermind that even when you try to use a historical reference to bolster your point, you highlight your ignorance to such a degree that you actually end up undermining your entire lengthy, boring diatribe.

We will not return to the 1850s, when a pro-slavery Congressman nearly beat to death an anti-slavery Senator…

Here’s a free history lesson, Keith… that pro-slavery Congressman, Preston Brooks, was a DEMOCRAT. His victim, the anti-slavery Senator, was Charles Sumner… a REPUBLICAN.

Next time you try to get all self-righteous… you might want to do a little research first. Idiot.

…and the liberal idiocy train rolls on.

In her first vote as a Supreme Court Justice, Elena “I am not Kevin James” Kagan, sided with the liberal dissent when the Court cleared the way for the execution of an Arizona murderer.

The 5-4 ruling overturned orders by a federal judge in Phoenix and the U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco that had stopped the execution by lethal injection of Jeffrey Landrigan.

His lawyers, in a last-ditch appeal, had raised questions about one of the drugs used in the execution. Since the only U.S. manufacturer of sodium thiopental had suspended production, Arizona officials said they had obtained a supply of the drug from a British company.

A judge had put the execution on hold because she said she was “left to speculate” whether this drug was safe for its intended use.

The drug was being used to put someone to DEATH, and the liberals were worried about its safety? What in the hell does that even mean?

So let me get this straight… if the drug worked as it was intended, the result would be death. If it was faulty or unsafe, the result could be… death.

Arguing over the safety of a drug administered to kill someone makes about as much sense as swabbing the site of the lethal injection with alcohol to prevent infection.

Over the course of 8 years, Democrats managed to blame Bush for everything… natural disasters, school shootings, car wrecks, wildfires, and now even oil spills that occur two years after he’s left office.

This mantra continues into the worst recession America has seen in 60 years. While ignoring the fact that their policies of increased debt, tax hikes, government takeovers, bailouts and entitlements do nothing to stimulate growth, they continue to simply “blame Bush”.

So in that context, let’s just see what Bush and Republicans are to blame for…

January 03, 1995, when Republicans took control of Congress, the Dow opened at 3,834.33. Twelve years later, on January 03, 2007, Democrats took over with the Dow at 12,459.54 - up 225%. And after just two years of Democrat control in Congress, the Dow had managed to shed 36%, down to 7,949.09. Yet, somehow this is Bush’s fault.

When Democrats took control in 2007, unemployment was at 4.4%… since then it’s more than doubled to over 10%. Yet, somehow this is Bush’s fault.

The National Debt was $4.8 trillion when Democrats seized control of Congress, and in just two short years, and with the help of gaining a Democrat colleague in the White House to provide a rubber stamp, they proceeded to skyrocket the debt to well over $12 trillion. Yet, somehow this is Bush’s fault.

Many DNC talking points not only blame Bush policies, but incorrectly claim that the financial meltdown was a result of those so-called “failed Bush policies”. In fact, George W. Bush publicly called for reform of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac 17 times in 2008 alone. And who stood in the way? Democrats controlling Congress, of course.

And who were the top recipients of campaign contributions from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac?

#1 - DEMOCRAT Chris Dodd
#2 - DEMOCRAT Barack Obama
#3 - DEMOCRAT John Kerry

Keep that in mind when you watch this video again…

Yet, somehow this is all Bush’s fault.

Democrats on the campaign trail keep asking Americans… “Do you want to return to the policies of George W. Bush and Republicans?”

I’d venture to say the answer is a resounding, “YES!” Bring back a DOW over 12,000, unemployment under 6%, and the greatest economic expansion in decades.

Si se puede!

MSNBC’s lead D-bagger, KKKeith Olbermann wants to know where the diversity is in the Tea Party events…. Tea Party would like to know where the diversity is on MSNBC.

Truth is, Olbermann would never show up because he knows there will be minorities there and, being a typical racist liberal, he’d rather preach from his lily white network penthouse about racial insensitivity than actually come down and comingle with “those kinds of people”.

An Inconvenient Scandal
December 13th, 2009 1:46 pm

Sorry, Al Gore, but your scam has been exposed. For those of you who haven’t been following the story, it appears some scientists involved in building the Global Warming movement have admitted to fudging the data to bolster their claims… and to weed out data that would contradict the very premise of the Global Warming religious movement.

Here’s some background on the unfolding scandal…

And here’s a nice video that puts Al Gore’s “hockey stick” into historical perspective:

Dan Rather would probably call it “Fake, but settled science“…

UPDATE: Algore got caught making up some statistics of his own in Copenhagen…

Mr Gore, speaking at the Copenhagen climate change summit, stated the latest research showed that the Arctic could be completely ice-free in five years. In his speech, Mr Gore told the conference: “These figures are fresh. Some of the models suggest to Dr [Wieslav] Maslowski that there is a 75 per cent chance that the entire north polar ice cap, during the summer months, could be completely ice-free within five to seven years.”

However, the climatologist whose work Mr Gore was relying upon dropped the former Vice-President in the water with an icy blast. “It’s unclear to me how this figure was arrived at,” Dr Maslowski said. “I would never try to estimate likelihood at anything as exact as this.”

…how inconvenient.

George Soros-funded MoveOn.org was a staple of liberal propaganda during the Bush years. But where are they now?

Remember this little campaign they had for opposing Social Security reform?

The Republicans are spending 100 million dollars to convince you Social Security is in a “crisis”. But MoveOn PAC is taking it to the people! Because the truth is free!

It’s not going bankrupt, there is no crisis.

Privatization will produce massive benefit cuts and trillion in debt and turn a guaranteed benefit into a guaranteed gamble.

if it ain’t broke, don’t privatize it.

Oops

Social Security will start paying out more in benefits than it collects in taxes in 2016, a year sooner than projected last year, and the giant trust fund will be depleted by 2037, four years sooner, trustees reported.

Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner, the head of the trustees group, said the new reports were a reminder that “the longer we wait to address the long-term solvency of Medicare and Social Security, the sooner those challenges will be upon us and the harder the options will be.”

Where are you now, MoveOn.org?

And remember when they had a contest to see who could develop the best propaganda to question Bush’s $400 billion deficit?

Well Obama’s deficit will be north of $1.8 trillion.

Where are you now, MoveOn.org?

The transparency of Moveon.org’s motives are more clear today than ever. It never was about the real issues… it was about ginning up bogus propaganda to oppose President Bush.

But then again, anyone with any common sense could see that long before now.

Haunted House (& Senate)
October 17th, 2008 12:32 pm

And I thought the prospect of a lifetime appointment for a Supreme Court Justice Clinton was bad…

Are you ready for A Liberal Supermajority?

Get ready for ‘change’ we haven’t seen since 1965, or 1933.

If the current polls hold, Barack Obama will win the White House on November 4 and Democrats will consolidate their Congressional majorities, probably with a filibuster-proof Senate or very close to it. Without the ability to filibuster, the Senate would become like the House, able to pass whatever the majority wants.

Though we doubt most Americans realize it, this would be one of the most profound political and ideological shifts in U.S. history. Liberals would dominate the entire government in a way they haven’t since 1965, or 1933. In other words, the election would mark the restoration of the activist government that fell out of public favor in the 1970s. If the U.S. really is entering a period of unchecked left-wing ascendancy, Americans at least ought to understand what they will be getting, especially with the media cheering it all on.

The table [below] shows the major bills that passed the House this year or last before being stopped by the Senate minority. Keep in mind that the most important power of the filibuster is to shape legislation, not merely to block it. The threat of 41 committed Senators can cause the House to modify its desires even before legislation comes to a vote. Without that restraining power, all of the following have very good chances of becoming law in 2009 or 2010.

- Medicare for all. When HillaryCare cratered in 1994, the Democrats concluded they had overreached, so they carved up the old agenda into smaller incremental steps, such as Schip for children. A strongly Democratic Congress is now likely to lay the final flagstones on the path to government-run health insurance from cradle to grave.

Mr. Obama wants to build a public insurance program, modeled after Medicare and open to everyone of any income. According to the Lewin Group, the gold standard of health policy analysis, the Obama plan would shift between 32 million and 52 million from private coverage to the huge new entitlement. Like Medicare or the Canadian system, this would never be repealed.

The commitments would start slow, so as not to cause immediate alarm. But as U.S. health-care spending flowed into the default government options, taxes would have to rise or services would be rationed, or both. Single payer is the inevitable next step, as Mr. Obama has already said is his ultimate ideal.

- The business climate. “We have some harsh decisions to make,” Speaker Nancy Pelosi warned recently, speaking about retribution for the financial panic. Look for a replay of the Pecora hearings of the 1930s, with Henry Waxman, John Conyers and Ed Markey sponsoring ritual hangings to further their agenda to control more of the private economy. The financial industry will get an overhaul in any case, but telecom, biotech and drug makers, among many others, can expect to be investigated and face new, more onerous rules. See the “Issues and Legislation” tab on Mr. Waxman’s Web site for a not-so-brief target list.

The danger is that Democrats could cause the economic downturn to last longer than it otherwise will by enacting regulatory overkill like Sarbanes-Oxley. Something more punitive is likely as well, for instance a windfall profits tax on oil, and maybe other industries.

- Union supremacy. One program certain to be given right of way is “card check.” Unions have been in decline for decades, now claiming only 7.4% of the private-sector work force, so Big Labor wants to trash the secret-ballot elections that have been in place since the 1930s. The “Employee Free Choice Act” would convert workplaces into union shops merely by gathering signatures from a majority of employees, which means organizers could strongarm those who opposed such a petition.

The bill also imposes a compulsory arbitration regime that results in an automatic two-year union “contract” after 130 days of failed negotiation. The point is to force businesses to recognize a union whether the workers support it or not. This would be the biggest pro-union shift in the balance of labor-management power since the Wagner Act of 1935.

- Taxes. Taxes will rise substantially, the only question being how high. Mr. Obama would raise the top income, dividend and capital-gains rates for “the rich,” substantially increasing the cost of new investment in the U.S. More radically, he wants to lift or eliminate the cap on income subject to payroll taxes that fund Medicare and Social Security. This would convert what was meant to be a pension insurance program into an overt income redistribution program. It would also impose a probably unrepealable increase in marginal tax rates, and a permanent shift upward in the federal tax share of GDP.

- The green revolution. A tax-and-regulation scheme in the name of climate change is a top left-wing priority. Cap and trade would hand Congress trillions of dollars in new spending from the auction of carbon credits, which it would use to pick winners and losers in the energy business and across the economy. Huge chunks of GDP and millions of jobs would be at the mercy of Congress and a vast new global-warming bureaucracy. Without the GOP votes to help stage a filibuster, Senators from carbon-intensive states would have less ability to temper coastal liberals who answer to the green elites.

- Free speech and voting rights. A liberal supermajority would move quickly to impose procedural advantages that could cement Democratic rule for years to come. One early effort would be national, election-day voter registration. This is a long-time goal of Acorn and others on the “community organizer” left and would make it far easier to stack the voter rolls. The District of Columbia would also get votes in Congress — Democratic, naturally.

Felons may also get the right to vote nationwide, while the Fairness Doctrine is likely to be reimposed either by Congress or the Obama FCC. A major goal of the supermajority left would be to shut down talk radio and other voices of political opposition.

- Special-interest potpourri. Look for the watering down of No Child Left Behind testing standards, as a favor to the National Education Association. The tort bar’s ship would also come in, including limits on arbitration to settle disputes and watering down the 1995 law limiting strike suits. New causes of legal action would be sprinkled throughout most legislation. The anti-antiterror lobby would be rewarded with the end of Guantanamo and military commissions, which probably means trying terrorists in civilian courts. Google and MoveOn.org would get “net neutrality” rules, subjecting the Internet to intrusive regulation for the first time.

It’s always possible that events — such as a recession — would temper some of these ambitions. Republicans also feared the worst in 1993 when Democrats ran the entire government, but it didn’t turn out that way. On the other hand, Bob Dole then had 43 GOP Senators to support a filibuster, and the entire Democratic Party has since moved sharply to the left. Mr. Obama’s agenda is far more liberal than Bill Clinton’s was in 1992, and the Southern Democrats who killed Al Gore’s BTU tax and modified liberal ambitions are long gone.
In both 1933 and 1965, liberal majorities imposed vast expansions of government that have never been repealed, and the current financial panic may give today’s left another pretext to return to those heydays of welfare-state liberalism. Americans voting for “change” should know they may get far more than they ever imagined.

But you have the power to insure this doesn’t happen. Vote!

UPDATE: Even Obama gets it

“Don’t underestimate our ability to screw it up. I want everybody running scared.”

Tomorrow on Oprah… Deadbeat Parents
October 1st, 2008 4:52 pm

Oprah Winfrey’s mom is apparently pissed off that a store would have the audacity to give her a line of credit for which she isn’t going to paying back. In a story that sounds eerily reminiscent of the mentality that got the country into its current financial mess, Mama Winfrey racked up hundreds of thousands of dollars in shopping sprees to a clothing store, bailed on paying the bills and when sued by the store had the audacity to countersue claiming they shouldn’t have extended her the credit because she’s a deadbeat.

Waukesha - Oprah Winfrey’s mother should not have to pay a high-end fashion store the more than $150,000 it says it is owed because the store extended credit despite knowing her troubles managing debt, according to a new court filing.

Valentina Inc. sued Winfrey’s mother, Vernita Lee of Milwaukee, in July, contending that she racked up a bill of $155,547.31 in purchases and interest as of July 1. She was required to make a minimum monthly payment of $2,000 to the store, the suit says.

Mediation between the two sides failed last week, prompting Lee to file a counterclaim contending she does not owe the money.

But the store isn’t necessarily an innocent bystander as they were on notice that she was a deadbeat.

It is the second time Lee and Valentina have been in conflict over her wardrobe bill.

In 2002, Lee was ordered to pay $35,000 upfront and make monthly payments of $5,000 until another past-due bill of $174,285 was paid, according to court records.

While I wouldn’t propose letting her off the hook for her debts, it’s hard to defend a store that is this stupid. (Of course, knowing who her daughter is probably helped them be a little more relaxed in extending credit)

Michelle sums this up nicely:

This is exactly the same entitlement/victim mentality that has gotten us into the bailout mess we are in. Irresponsible spender demands limitless credit. Cries “predatory lender” when the chickens come home to roost. Borrow. Spend. Whine. Repeat

And the answer to this from Congress is to offer both offending sides money confiscated from we taxpayers.

Just like their strategy for Iraq, they’re hoping and praying for the destruction and misfortune of Americans so that they can gain an advantage politically.

Michael Moore’s take on Hurricane Gustav’s impending devastation of parts of Louisiana, possibly including New Orleans?

It is proof that there is a God in heaven.”

As heartless as this sentiment is, don’t hold your breath for Kanye West, Kweisi Mfume, Louis Farra-con and the rest of the ignorant race-baiting liberals to claim that “Michael Moore hates black people”…

But it’s Michael Moore, you say. He is a fringe element. It’s not like a mainstream Democrat said something like that…

Okay, then try this one on for size. Here is none other than former DNC Chairman (it doesn’t get any more mainstream than that) Don Fowler:

Transcript:

Fowler: “The hurricane’s going to hit New Orleans about the time they start. [Chuckle] The timing is — at least it appears now that it’ll be there Monday. That just demonstrates that God’s on our side. [Laughter] … Everything’s cool.”

It’s the same storyline from the Democrats. Americans in need, and they see nothing but political advantage. It’s pathetic.

As Allah rightly puts it:

This is [the Democrats’] philosophy on Iraq too, of course. Defeat actually helps America, because defeat puts Democrats in power and only by having Democrats in power can America “progress.” Bear this in mind the next time Sen. Hopenchange affects indignation in wondering what McCain could possibly mean with his insinuations about putting country first. This is what he means.

You know who else thinks it’s divine intervention when Hurricanes strike the U.S.?

A purported al-Qaeda newscast that promises weekly updates made its online debut with a report read by a masked man that included video of Hurricane Katrina — subtitled “divine punishment” — and a message from the leader of al-Qaeda in Iraq.
