I’d actually be more shocked by a story highlighting an Obama appointee being race-neutral in the application of their duties.

Just another day at the taxpayer-funded office for the racists.

Transcript:

“The first time I was faced with having to help a white farmer save his farm, he took a long time talking but he was trying to show me he was superior to me. I know what he was doing, but he had come to me for help. What he didn’t know while he was taking all that time trying to show me he was superior to me was, I was trying to decide just how much help I was going to give him.

I was struggling with the fact that so many black people had lost their farmland, and here I was faced with having to help a white person save their land. So I didn’t give him the full force of what I could do. I did enough,” Sherrod said. “So that when he, I assumed the Department of Agriculture had sent him to me, either that or the Georgia Department of Agriculture, and he needed to go back and report that I did try to help him.

So I took him to a white lawyer that had attended some of training that we had provided because Chapter 12 bankruptcy had just been enacted for the family farm. So I figured if I take him to one of them, that his own kind would take care of him.”

His “own kind”? Imagine if a white person used those words… especially in a politically-appointed, taxpayer-funded position.

Apparently she joked earlier in the speech about the inherent job security she has as a government employee. With enough exposure on this story, let’s see how strong that security really is.

Just more hope and change, baby.

UPDATE Apparently justice trumps job security, Shirley. Don’t let the door hit ya where the good Lord split ya.

UPDATE 2: Right on cue, liberals call the racist a “victim“. And for good measure, they follow steps 2 and 3 of their propaganda rules of engagement, including blaming FoxNews (who didn’t even mention this story until AFTER Sherrod stepped down and then claimed the racist comments were taken “out of context”. Who are you gonna believe? A racist organization built on discriminating against non-colored people and professional race-baiter Jesse Jackson…. or your lying eyes?

The So-Called “Open Dialog”
July 20th, 2006 11:04 am

You want to know why a Republican President will never be able to have an “open dialog” with Democrats or racist groups like the NAACP? It’s because of stuff like this:

Sens. Hillary Rodham Clinton of New York and Barack Obama of Illinois warned NAACP delegates to be cautious of any civil rights promises Bush offers when speaking to the group today. The senators criticized Republicans for allowing the landmark 1965 voting act to nearly expire and said the Justice Department has failed to aggressively pursue allegations of disenfranchisement.

“Don’t be bamboozled. Don’t buy into it,” Obama said, trying to anticipate Bush’s speech, which is expected to touch upon his support for extending the act.

So after 5 years of the Left clamoring over Bush’s refusal to speak to the racist organization, he finally agrees and what does the Left do? They come out with preemptory comments insinuating a distrust that Bush’s words may not be sincere… that he’s just there to pander. (Though I will credit Democrats for knowing exactly what pandering to minorities looks and feels like… they’ve perfected the act) They create an environment of distrust before he even speaks.

In fact, after whining for 5 years that the President of the United States isn’t speaking to their racist organization, you’d think it would be worth mentioning on the racist group’s site when he finally does speak to them. But, not surprisingly, there’s not a single mention of the President speaking to their annual racist meeting on their website.

When Democrats call for bipartisanship or “open dialog”, it just simply means do what they want or risk being called a closed-minded, bigoted, racist, puppy killer.

NAACP chief makes switch to GOP
November 17th, 2005 10:47 am

Those are words that have to make the race peddlers cringe. As of this week, Derrick Wallace, head of Orange County’s NAACP, has switched partiesto become a Republican.

Republican Party leader Lew Oliver described himself as “extraordinarily pleased,” while Democratic leader Tim Shea said he was disappointed.

Wallace, a construction-company exec, was candid about the fact that his business life was a big part of his decision to change.

“It’s purely a business decision. Ninety percent of those I do business with are Republicans,” he said. “Opportunities that have come to my firm have been brought by Republicans.”

To that, Shea responded: “I’m a little confused. Are we talking about the National Association for the Advancement of Construction Professionals — or Colored People?”

The Democrats still think government programs help the colored people. They seem amazed when blacks are successful in life without social programs. They’re shocked when blacks realize the Democrat party is no friend to them and isn’t interested in offering real help, just more government promises and programs.

And then out come the talking points…

Shea and other Democrats have long maintained that Republican talk about inclusion is little more than that: talk. They cite GOP policy after policy — on everything from voting rights to health care — that disproportionately negatively affects blacks.

So basically they’re saying Wallace is ignorant and that he “just don’t get it.” But maybe there’s another explanation for his switch. Maybe he DOES get it.

If the Democrats were doing so much to help “people of his color” then his switch would be detrimental to his success. But he’s been successful. How? Not by Democrats promising social programs and gubmint handouts… but by Republicans bringing real opportunities to him.

Democrats just don’t grasp the concept that real opportunity can be achieved, even by *gasp* those colored people, without some sort of government intervention.

Shea wants to discuss a party that’s “all talk” when it comes to issues of “inclusion” maybe he ought to talk to members of his own party.

“Voter Terrorism”
November 8th, 2005 10:16 pm

That’s what Detroit NAACP member Wendell Anthony called it. I happen to be on the road this week in Detroit and was watching the local news to see the results of the Mayoral election and saw a clip (sorry I don’t have a copy online yet) of Reverend Anthony trotting out the typical run-of-the-mill “Republicans disenfranchise blacks” claims. He actually claimed that Republican monitors were committing “voter terrorism”. The Left’s hyperbole has reached new limits as their fraud becomes more evident with each passing election. Apparently they don’t like being exposed.

Three problems with Anthony’s claims:

1. The candidate, Freman Hendrix, that is challenging the black incumbent, Kwame Kilpatrick… is also BLACK. (Maybe he’s just not black enough!)

2. Evidence of Detroit absentee voter fraud has already been found

3. And the FBI has been investigating allegations of fraud involving registrations in Wayne County.

The NAACP filed suit and a judge granted the group a restraining order against challengers at polling locations stating they couldn’t talk to voters. Glad it took a restraining order since that was already illegal.

The Democrats have created a nice little voter fraud niche exploiting blacks. Commit fraud, then claim racism if anyone questions it.

I saw the process firsthand in Philadelphia last year. The Democrats will go into heavily minority districts and generate many fake registrations, use the absentee process to fraudulently vote and encourage folks who voted absentee to vote again on election day also. Then, when the Republicans send volunteers into polling places on election day, armed with lists of “potential fraudulent” registrations and lists of those who’ve already voted, to challenge any voters who use one of the flagged registrations or show up on the “already voted” list, the Democrats claim racism and disenfranchisement.

Those voters who are challenged are able to still cast a provisional ballot, which require verification before being counted.

Notice how the racism claims (and now terrorist claims) only arise in close elections or those where the Democrat is not winning? Are there any big calls for Justice Department Investigations tonight in Virginia or New Jersey? The Democrats aren’t interested in a fair electoral process. They’re interested in winning. Period. “By any means necessary”.

Update: Well, whaddya know… It appears Kwame Kilpatrick scored a “surprising” come-from-behind victory, by a margin of 13,908 votes… while “U.S. attorney’s office on behalf of the FBI requested that the city preserve at least 42,000 absentee ballots, applications and ballot envelopes so the agency could investigate allegations … that the names of dead people were used to cast absentee ballots, that ballots were sent out improperly and that there was improper assistance given by the city clerk’s staff to people incapable of voting.” Of course, with this new “suprising” election outcome, I suspect we’ll hear an end to Democrats’ worries of “voter terrorism”. Just something about their candidates winning that seems to ease their cares about “rampant voter fraud” and a “wholesale faulty electoral systems”. Imagine that.

UPDATE 2: Looks like the DNC was full force behind the Kwame fraud too. Look at all the Democrats in Congress that threw money into this “local” Detroit’s Mayoral race….

  • Sheila J. Lee for Congress, Houston, $2,500.
  • Danny K. Davis for Congress, Chicago., $1,000.
  • Don Payne for Congress, Newark, N.J., $1,000.
  • Nancy Pelosi for Congress, San Francisco, $1,000.
  • Hastings for Congress, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., $500.
  • Julia Carson for Congress, Indianapolis, $500.
  • Wynn for Congress, Washington, D.C., $1,000.
  • Cummings for Congress, Baltimore, $1,000.
  • Friends of Jim Clyburn, Columbia, S.C., $1,000.
  • Nita Lowey for Congress, White Plains, N.Y., $499.
  • Schakowsky for Congress, Evanston, Ill., $1,000.
  • Stephanie T. Jones for U.S. Congress, University Heights, Ohio, $2,500.
  • Meeks for Congress, Springfield Gardens, N.Y., $1,000.
