Barack Obama Hates White People
March 27th, 2009 6:43 am

I’m watching news stories of broken levees and massive flooding in North Dakota and thinking it can only mean one thing… Barack Obama hates white people.

Instead of Hollywood celebrities holding telethons asking for help for the folks affected by the floods… the affected citizens are busting their asses in sub-freezing temperatures to help themselves.

And the Senate investigations? Maybe they’ll get to those when they’re done investigating the college football ranking system.

Where is all the media asking the tough questions about why the federal government hasn’t solved the problem and building a narrative that this is all the result of a big government conspiracy?

Where are all the fake news stories about rapes, murders, violence and terror?

When will Spike Lee say that the Federal Government blew up the levees that are failing in Fargo?

Where are Sean Penn and the rest of the useless Hollywood idiots?

Where are all the looters stealing high-end tennis shoes and big screen television sets?

When will we hear Governor John Hoeven say that he wants to rebuild a ‘vanilla‘ Fargo, because that’s the way God wants it?

Where are the people declaring that Barack Obama hates white people?

How come in 2 weeks, you will never hear about the Fargo flooding ever again?

There are definitely two Americas. Those who make America great… and those who mooch off the greatness and complain while doing it.

Just like their strategy for Iraq, they’re hoping and praying for the destruction and misfortune of Americans so that they can gain an advantage politically.

Michael Moore’s take on Hurricane Gustav’s impending devastation of parts of Louisiana, possibly including New Orleans?

It is proof that there is a God in heaven.”

As heartless as this sentiment is, don’t hold your breath for Kanye West, Kweisi Mfume, Louis Farra-con and the rest of the ignorant race-baiting liberals to claim that “Michael Moore hates black people”…

But it’s Michael Moore, you say. He is a fringe element. It’s not like a mainstream Democrat said something like that…

Okay, then try this one on for size. Here is none other than former DNC Chairman (it doesn’t get any more mainstream than that) Don Fowler:

Transcript:

Fowler: “The hurricane’s going to hit New Orleans about the time they start. [Chuckle] The timing is — at least it appears now that it’ll be there Monday. That just demonstrates that God’s on our side. [Laughter] … Everything’s cool.”

It’s the same storyline from the Democrats. Americans in need, and they see nothing but political advantage. It’s pathetic.

As Allah rightly puts it:

This is [the Democrats’] philosophy on Iraq too, of course. Defeat actually helps America, because defeat puts Democrats in power and only by having Democrats in power can America “progress.” Bear this in mind the next time Sen. Hopenchange affects indignation in wondering what McCain could possibly mean with his insinuations about putting country first. This is what he means.

You know who else thinks it’s divine intervention when Hurricanes strike the U.S.?

A purported al-Qaeda newscast that promises weekly updates made its online debut with a report read by a masked man that included video of Hurricane Katrina — subtitled “divine punishment” — and a message from the leader of al-Qaeda in Iraq.

George Bush Hates White People
June 30th, 2008 9:41 pm

Where are all of the Hollywood celebrities holding telethons asking for help in restoring Iowa and helping the folks affected by the floods?

Where are the Senate investigations?

Where is all the media asking the tough questions about why the federal government hasn’t solved the problem? Asking where the FEMA trucks (and trailers) are?

Why isn’t the Federal Government relocating Iowa people to free hotels in Chicago?

When will Spike Lee say that the Federal Government blew up the levees that failed in Des Moines ?

Where are Sean Penn and the rest of the useless Hollywood idiots?

Where are all the looters stealing high-end tennis shoes and big screen television sets?

When will we hear Governor Chet Culver say that he wants to rebuild a ‘vanilla‘ Iowa , because that’s the way God wants it?

Where is the hysterical 24/7 media coverage complete with reports of cannibalism?

Where are the people declaring that George Bush hates white, rural farmers?

How come in 2 weeks, you will never hear about the Iowa flooding ever again?

$3,000,000,000,000,000
January 9th, 2008 1:02 pm

That’s apparently the amount of money owed to Hurricane Katrina victims by God… though they’re suing the Army Corps of Engineers as a proxy defendant.

Three quadrillion dollars.

The quadrillion-dollar figure represents a fraction of the roughly 489,000 claims that residents and business owners filed against the federal government over damage from the failure of levees and flood walls following the Aug. 29, 2005, storm.

Officials said some residents may have grossly exaggerated their claims to send a message to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, which has accepted blame for poorly designing the failed levees.

To put the number into perspective, just $1 quadrillion would dwarf the U.S. gross domestic product and a stack of 1 quadrillion pennies would reach Saturn. It would’ve been cheaper to remove every upright structure in New Orleans by hand, brick by brick, and rebuild a city of gold in its place.

Imagine the number of school buses they’d be able to not utilize for evacuation next time with this kind of money.

Now Whose Fault Is It?
February 20th, 2007 7:16 am

From al-Reuters:

Crime turning New Orleans into Big Uneasy

NEW ORLEANS (Reuters) - New Orleans, the “Big Easy” city famous for its good times and relaxed attitude, has become the Big Uneasy in recent weeks as its murder count has soared and anger grown at local leaders unable to stop the violence.

The homicide total for a still-young 2007 climbed to 27 on Saturday with the dead of a man shot at a nightclub on Friday.

He was one of nine people shot in separate incidents in a seven-hour span on Thursday and Friday, and the third of them to die.

So is this President Bush’s fault too? Or is this finally exposing that New Orleans was a dysfunctional, corrupt haven for criminals long before Hurricane Katrina made it a Bush-bashing event?

New Orleans has had one of the United States’ highest per-capita murder rates for years, but the current violence has added to insecurities in a city worried about its future.

I guess we can ignore Mayor Nagin, Governor Landrieu and others and go right to blaming President Bush for the problem in New Orleans… even if it means blaming him for the problems that occured before Hurricane Katrina.

“If they don’t get crime under control, if they can’t convince people it’s safe to be here, it doesn’t matter how much money they get from the federal government, nobody’s going to stay,” Tulane University criminal justice instructor Ronnie Jones said.

Even before Katrina, a local study found that in 2003-2004 only 12 percent of those arrested for murder went to prison.

The larger problem is that New Orleans has too many social problems - drugs, poverty, broken families, poor education - all present before Katrina.

Bottom line, this was never about how President Bush responded to Hurricane Katrina, this was about the crime and corruption that permeated New Orleans for decades. This was about an inept, at best, and corrupt, at worst, government from the state level down to the local parishes.

Facts I’m sure liberals will continue to ignore…

Cajun Cryin’
January 24th, 2007 12:58 pm

Louisiana Governor Kathleen Blanco, the same woman that thought it was appropriate, in the weeks after the hurricane, to spend over half a million dollars renovating her offices with “hookups and mounts for two flat screen televisions, Swedish granite countertops, walnut paneling and frosted laminated glass,” is still whining about her corrupt state government not getting enough money from the feds:

Gov. Kathleen Blanco angrily criticized President Bush on Wednesday for not mentioning 2005’s destructive hurricanes in his State of the Union speech, and said Louisiana is being shortchanged in federal recovery funding for political reasons.

Excuse me why I try to give a damn.

Did Hurricane Katrina Save Lives?
August 30th, 2006 6:32 am

Paul at Wizbang has a detailed post about some interesting revelations relating to the levee breaches in New Orleans last Fall (with lots of pictures).

Bottom line, according to Paul:

New Orleans was doomed with or without Katrina, we just didn’t know it.

He says, “A good high tide puts more water in the canal than this. As the video shows, the water was barely higher than normal levels. The walls could have failed on a decent high tide.”

So what does this mean?

That levee was doomed. If it had failed without notice, the death toll would have been measured in tens of thousands. There would be no evacuation, no preparation, no Feds at all. (such that they were anyway) no Coast Guard in choppers etc. Tens of thousands of people would have been dead in hours and tens of thousands more would have died on 120 degree rooftops waiting for rescue. It would have been unimaginable. - More unimaginable.

“Luckily” -and I groan when I say that- Katrina allowed the city to be evacuated.

This time due to lack of rain. I’m just waiting for someone to report that liberals have named the cracks in the levees “Bush’s faults”.

Update: Sissy Willis has a great headline that MSM must’ve inadvertently overlooked:

Bush lied, levees dried!

You know, it’s good unbiased journalism like that, that makes the news industry shine.

Doubtful. As Hurricane Blame Bush Season officially opens, Popular Mechanics gives us the scoop on a report from those investigating the New Orleans’ levee breaches. (Hat tip: Instapundit)

Government or contractor negligence was not discovered. The practices and design criteria did vary however since 1965. The piecemeal construction of levees, floodwalls and gates over the decades led to “inconsistent levels of protection.” Protection erected around the 17th Street Canal for example was not as strong as those at the Orleans Canal, which incorporated more conservative designs and practices. Materials also ranged in strength and fortitude…

A key element leading to failures at the 17th Street Canal and London Avenue was the formation of gaps behind I-walls. The morning of the hurricane, water had already rose 1.7 feet above the tops of the levees and floodwalls to an elevation of 14.2 feet. As the water passed over the levees, it eroded the soil supporting the walls degrading their stability and resulting in catastrophic flooding.

The MSM used to be able to survive the “we only have to be right for a day” tactic. No wonder they despise the loss of their monopolistic voice.
