Jim Rockford vs. Occupy Wall Street

The more things change, apparently the more they stay the same… this is decades old and just as relevant today as when it first aired:

Tea Party vs. Occupying Deadbeats
October 11th, 2011 12:20 pm

As I say repeatedly… I strongly support the First Amendment… it’s the best tool for identifying idiots. As you’re watching this video, make a note of the “tolerance” of the liberal idiots.

I love the fact that when faced with an actual debate on the facts, liberal morons resort to simply two-line chants. It’s as if their tiny monkey brains can’t hold more than those basic rhyming refrains, so their handlers keep it simple for them.

Useful idiots.

In case you still think the Democrat party is anything other than a collection of communist and socialist dirtbags, check this out:

The Democratic Party moved a step closer to embracing the Occupy Wall Street movement as its own with the top campaign arm for House Democrats sending around a petition urging people to “stand with” the movement.

In an email sent Monday morning, Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee Director Robby Mook appealed for signatures to an online petition in support of those who want “to let billionaires, big oil and big bankers know that we’re not going to let the richest 1% force draconian economic policies and massive cuts to crucial programs on Main Street Americans.”

Pelosi said she backs the protesters in their message.

“I support the message to the establishment, whether it’s Wall Street or the political establishment and the rest, that change has to happen. We cannot continue in a way that does not — that is not relevant to their lives. People are angry,” she said.

Pelosi backs their message? Nancy, you ARE the establishment, moron.

This is an interesting development, however. You see, the “Occupy Wall Street” gang’s message reads almost verbatim to the “message” of the Communist Party USA.

Just remember these images as Nancy Pelosi and her Democrat party continue to “stand in solidarity” with these Communists and Socialists….

Apparently bored with all the boring honoring victims mumbo jumbo and annoyed at having to waste time showing a moment of respect for the victims and heroes of the worst terror attack on American soil, Michelle Obama showed Sunday just how much contempt she has for America… a country she wasn’t proud of until her moving van found 1600 Pennsylvannia.

As police and firefighters fold the flag to the sound of marching bagpipers, a skeptical looking Mrs. Obama leans to her husband and appears to say, “all this just for a flag.” She then purses her lips, shakes her head rolls her eyes as Mr. Obama nods in agreement.

Barack Obama was giving a speech to DNC donors Monday night when he dropped a line so laughable on the audience, even his most ardent supporters couldn’t contain their laughter. Below is a clip from the transcript, posted on the White House website, of that moment:

“Over the past 15 months we’ve created over 2.1 million private sector jobs (Laughter.)”

.
.
.
.

06/23/11 UPDATE: Apparently the White House’s Office of Propaganda was alerted to this embarrassment and has since altered the original transcript to show a more favorable response from his supporters:

“Over the past 15 months we’ve created over 2.1 million private sector jobs (Applause.)”

This update seems to turn an embarrassing situation into an issue of transparency and truthfulness with this administration. Makes you wonder how many other items on the official White House website have been scrubbed and sanitized to improve the image of the Community Organizer in Chief and his On-The-Job-Training-Administration…

In December, 2008, Obama insisted that he did not run for office to “be helpin’ out a bunch of fat cat bankers on Wall Street…” choosing to blame them for the entire economic meltdown that we now know was caused by something else.

What a difference a re-election campaign season makes…

A few weeks before announcing his re-election campaign, President Obama convened two dozen Wall Street executives, many of them longtime donors, in the White House’s Blue Room…

Last month, Mr. Obama’s campaign manager, Jim Messina, traveled to New York for back-to-back meetings with Wall Street donors, ending at the home of Marc Lasry, a prominent hedge fund manager, to court donors close to Mr. Obama’s onetime rival, Hillary Rodham Clinton. And Mr. Obama will return to New York this month to dine with bankers, hedge fund executives and private equity investors at the Upper East Side restaurant Daniel.

I guess fat cat bankers on Wall Street who destroy an entire economy are kosher so long as their ill-gotten gains are going into your re-election coffers.

A winning campaign slogan of course!

They’re sure to rise in the polls. You’d be nuts not to vote for them. Like Nancy Pelosi said, “Erections have consequences!”

It’s pretty telling that a show that originally aired during the Carter administration is equally applicable in an Obama world.

Happy Income Confiscation Day.
April 18th, 2011 11:11 am

A new study shows what Americans think about current income tax rates…

Half of Americans believe the amount they pay in federal income taxes is too high, while 43% consider it about right and 4% too low.

…and another study shows why

The nation’s tax laws are packed with breaks for people at every income level. There are breaks for having children, paying a mortgage, going to college, and even for paying other taxes. Plus, the top rate on capital gains is only 15 percent.

There are so many breaks that 45 percent of U.S. households will pay no federal income tax for 2010, according to estimates by the Tax Policy Center, a Washington think tank.

Surprise, surprise.

While experts and pundits debate whether Obama, as Commander in Chief, violated Article 1, Section 8 of the Constitution by ordering military action in Libya without approval of Congress, there is another law that may be in play here.

The federal government is currently operating under a Continuing Resolution (CR) because a new budget has not been passed by Congress. Without an appropriations budget in place, non-essential functions of the government would normally cease, as they are not allowed by law to spend money. However, under CRs, government agencies are authorized to fund their agencies, but only at the current level until either the resolution expires, or an appropriations bill is passed.

So when Obama, as Commander in Chief, ordered the military actions in Libya, the question arises as to whether the additional $2 billion/day is a lawful expenditure, given that the federal government is operating under a CR. We know it hasn’t been specifically appropriated because Obama hasn’t bothered consulting Congress on the action in Libya at all… for approval or funding.

Wouldn’t it be ironic if the Democrats who refused to pass a budget have inadvertently put Obama in a position to violate federal law with his war in Libya?
